These machines, say a wood chipper or wood mill, emit so much noise I was worried for my hearing. I chose this set of ear protectors not only because they are pink, ok because they are pink. They fit my average sized head well and do block out some of the noise. Even with added foam earplugs, that woodchipper is LOUD, but not as loud as without. I know nothing about decibels or loudness ratings. These are likely not meant for extended professional use but for a period of farm tasks they work well enough.
