New York Biology Dead Sea Mud Mask for Face & Body - 8.8 oz

I’m new to facial skincare and decided to try the New York Biology Dead Sea Mud Mask with Lavender, and I’m really happy with it so far.The mask goes on smoothly and has a nice, calming scent thanks to the lavender. It dries within a reasonable time and feels like it’s really drawing out impurities from the skin. After rinsing it off, my face feels noticeably cleaner, softer, and refreshed.I also like that it doesn’t feel too harsh or irritating, which is great for someone just starting a skincare routine. It gives a nice spa-like feeling at home.Overall, this is a great product for beginners or anyone looking to improve skin clarity and reduce oiliness.

This is awesome. Face feels so soft and smooth after using.For people complaining of product size, you don't need to put a thick pasty coat on (like I'm seeing in many of the photos). In fact a thin, even layer is better for your skin, since it dries faster and your skin only interacts with what is immediately touching it.**You do not need total occlusion***(a solid, opaque mask showing only the color of the clay) for the mask to do its job. *It's ok to see some skin color through it.*What is important is that it's even.A thicker coat only makes the outer part dry faster, it is harder to rinse off (so you need more water to rinse, which in turn dries your face more and leeches out more of the good stuff with it), and it completely wastes your product.

I love this face mask. I wanted to wait to leave a review until I had used it at least a few times because no product is going to magically show you instant results after the first one or 2 uses. I just used it for the 4th time and I am so happy with the results.So, I've never been a big fan of the mud type masks because of how messy the take off part is. However, I'm happy to deal with that with this particular product because this one truly leaves my skin glowing, feeling as soft as a baby's skin, more youthful and I am even left with a more even complexion.I start with any clinique face wash (I have a few different ones I switch between) and then use this right after. My skin feels like it doesn't need anything else after that, but I still follow with my asterwood triple repair serum and then a clinique moisturizer after that.I was just thinking about it, and I think if you just take a tiny bit of the mask, mix it with some water, and use an electronic face exfoliator, it could potentially work really well as a cleanser by itself! So I'm going to try that next time.I don't think I noticed a difference after the first couple of times I used it, but after this time I really noticed my face was glowing and my skin felt tighter. It says to leave it on for 10 minutes, so I did that the first time. 2nd & 3rd times I left it on for 15 minutes. Never really hardened. This time I left it on for 20 with a fan blowing on my face to help it harden and I think that helped with the tightening. It just doesn't harden as fast as it should, so I left it on a bit longer than recommended, but that shouldn't be a problem. These are natural minerals, and it won't hurt you to do that.It's difficult to get it off. It takes a while and stains lighter colored rags. It's not sticky. It definitely feels like it's just mud and it hasn't peeled at all for me.With all that said, I am giving 4 stars instead of 5 because it's a bit too expensive even though it works as well as it does. I can get a 20 pound tub of dead sea salt (and/or mud) directly from Israel for less than the cost of this 4 oz jar of mud. So I could be making SO much of this myself for less than the cost of one of these containers. I used to own a business making skincare products and that's how I know. I know a lot about skin care and the cost of this mask is definitely overkill. Just because something works well doesn't mean it has to be way overpriced to make the company as rich as possible.

I usually use it once or twice a week, and every single time my skin feels incredibly refreshed afterward.The texture applies smoothly and spreads easily, and it gives that really satisfying “deep clean” feeling without making my skin feel stripped or painfully dry afterward. Once I wash it off, my skin always feels so soft, healthy, and honestly almost youthful? My face looks brighter and feels smoother every time I use it, especially after a long week or when my skin is feeling dull and tired.I also appreciate that a little goes a long way, so the container lasts a pretty decent amount of time even with regular use. It feels like one of those products that gives you an at-home spa experience without being ridiculously expensive.One thing I will say — be VERY careful getting it on your lips while applying or washing it off because it does NOT taste pleasant 😭 Learned that lesson quickly. Not a dealbreaker obviously, just something funny worth mentioning.Overall, this has been such a nice addition to my skincare routine. If you like masks that leave your skin feeling deeply cleansed, smooth, and refreshed without feeling harsh, I definitely recommend trying this one.

Really like this mask. Goes on smooth. Makes my face feel smooth and clean after use. Works good at shrinking my pores and minimizes breakouts. And has a nice light minimal smell thats not overwhelming.

Been using this deep sea on mask for years! I use it once a week and helps clear up my face and keep me looking young!

The New York Biology Dead Sea Mud Mask is easy to apply and has a nice texture. It left my skin feeling clean and refreshed after use, and the container provides a good amount of product for the price. However, I didn’t notice a significant improvement in my skin beyond the temporary clean feeling.While it does help remove excess oil and leaves skin feeling smoother, the results were fairly average compared to other masks I’ve tried. It’s not a bad product, but I was expecting more noticeable results. Overall, it’s an okay option if you’re looking for a basic mud mask.

This container is a little smaller than I expected, but understandable as it's not packed with unnecessary fillers. Some of the web photos make the mask look black, or at least extremely dark gray, but mine is much lighter. Matters not at all, except maybe it makes cleanup easier.The big bonus is that this glides on so smoothly and you don't need much. And even more importantly to me, it has a really appealing tingly scent and feel (but not overpowering). This is great for my allergies, I wasn't expecting that benefit.The instructions say to leave a thin layer on 10 minutes until dry, but it never did really dry and I left it on ~20 mins. I'm not concerned about the layer being thin, because the consistency is so nice that it melts into your pores so I think anything thicker would be overkill. It rinsed off pretty easily, leaving a nice rosy glow and (shocker!) soft, moisturized skin. Very unusual - most times I can't get a toner soaked cotton pad across my face fast enough after masking and then have to follow up with some hydration. Not the case here, (although I'd still recommend a light moisturizer).I'm a skin care fanatic and have sold all the major department store brands. This mask is as good as any of theirs, and better than most of them. After the first use I noticed a surprising degree of pore size shrinkage. It's a solid value for the price, and will last a long time.

Over the years ive had many types of mask, many of them stating they are pure and promise all things. At 61 and recovering from a long illness, my skin resembles a dinosaur. Scaly and very very dry. This clay has put some of that moisture back and retains it. It has taken months of applying this twice a week but im feeling and looking more human like. People are commenting which has got to be because of this clay. Im unable to use many masks now as my skin is sensitive but i have no irritation from this, feels lovely to apply (thick not sloppy) . Will be continuing buying this and would recommend. Thank you
