Last4Ever Tip Tool - Nickel

My last tip tool
This is my fourth tip tool and I expect it will be my last. I started out with a simple tip pick but these are known to do damage to layered tips and are a single purpose tool. I moved on to an Extreme Tip Tool, comparable in its range of uses to the Last4Ever, but nowhere near the quality. That one uses bits of sandpaper that wear quickly where the aluminum oxide on the Last4Ever may indeed last forever, and you're not going to get a burnish on your tip with plastic vs the leather suede surface offered here. I then moved on to a simple Tweeten tip shaper, an inexpensive, single use tool that again requires regular replacement of the sandpaper surface, wears away your tip if you use it as a scuffer, and got bent in my cue case making a consistent shape impossible. Still it was my main tool for two years before reviews of the Last4Ever tool on another site (I'm a pool geek who hangs out in pool forums when I'm not actually playing the game) convinced me to take the leap.I've had the Last4Ever for only a few weeks now and it's the only tool left in my case. It shapes a tip in only a few swipes. I roll the scuffing surface against my tip for a few seconds every time I play and it's set for the night--with maybe one touch-up if I play for hours--without removing any of the tip material. I've already had to make use of its mushroom repair feature and the abrasive was just right. I'll admit I was a little nervous about taking to my tip with a straight abrasive surface, thinking it would leave choppy lines around the edges. It's been years since I've even had to repair a mushroomed tip since many of the better tips on the market don't do that, but I'd recently installed one that is known to be prone to it so I set about the repair with an unpracticed hand using the videos on the Last4Ever website for guidance. The repair abrasive was just fine enough that I was able to remove small enough amounts of material at a time and control how much was being removed. I ended up with a perfectly shaped tip and burnished it up to a beautiful shine in a few minutes of work. It's more expensive than other tools on the market (and less expensive than others), but if you make it your first tip tool instead of your fourth, it's a savings :)

Pretty solid all around.
Simple to use for those times in need of a tip refresh. Easier to use and more uniform shaping, than others I have used. If it actually wears out. I won't be needing another shaper.

The best tip tool there is for an everyday player!
Officially the only tip tool I will buy from here on. I’ve had pretty much all the basic tip tools and this one by far takes the cake. Great for shaping tip without losing grit on the paper. The leather burnisher on the single radius tool is great for burnishing the tip after sanding down any mushroom. First pic is before using the tip tool and the second one was after a few seconds of scuffing down the tip and a little saliva on the side of the tip and burnishing. Like new.Trust me. BUY IT

IF YOU BUY ONE, YOU WILL BE HAPPY WITH IT.
The Last4Ever Tip Tool should be in every pool player's cue case. It is incredible. You will lose it or someone will steal it before you wear it out. It is that good. JoeyA

Just buy it!
Just received this awesome tool in the mail yesterday, and man is it SWEET! It only took me two minutes of easy work to get my Kamui black medium all shaped up. The scuffer works exactly as advertised on the videos and other reviews, after seeing the quality and performance of this tool I'm sure it will be my last tip maintenance tool.

FINALLY... the perfect cue tip tool!!
I've tried many cue tip shapers over 30 years of playing pool and have always been disappointed to varying degrees... until now. Recently I tried searching in the "AZ Billiards" forum (azbilliards.com) where serious pool players post on a multitude of billiard subjects. In the thread "Last 4ever Tip Tool", I found post after post raving (without exception) about a tip tool I had never heard of before, called "Last4Ever". Well, I had to order one. When I received it, it took less than two minutes (literally) before I had a perfectly shaped tip on my favorite cue stick. I highly recommend this product to any pool player who knows the importance of a perfectly shaped cue tip.
