8 Inch Porcelain Watercolor Palette, Mixing Ceramic Watercolor Palette, Mixing Tray Paint Palett for Watercolor Gouache Acrylic Oil Painting 13-Well

I have a jillion porcelain/ceramic palettes, and I still went back to buy a second one of these. I have the 13-well version (12 side wells and a central space). I paint with watercolor. It's well-made, and I particularly like that the base is a ring, so you can set it on top of other palettes of varying shapes and it will remain stable. It feels reasonably compact (8" across), but is at least half an inch deep, so you can mix a large quantity of a color. It's a nice clean white, so you can see your colors well. But the thing I LOVE about this is the central mixing space. I use the outer wells for my "watery mix" of colors, and use the middle for thicker mixes. I don't generally put my tube paints directly into this palette, but it is OUTSTANDING when working with pans. I take many rounds to finish a piece. I can mix up a good quantity of color in each of the wells, which means I don't have to try to match a mix again later—just do the blend in a well, and re-wet when I come back. Cleaning: like all palettes with corners, you need a little pointy something to get into the corners, but otherwise it cleans up great.

The perfect size! It's not too little and not too small. There are enough Wells to mix multiple shades of a three color palette during watercolor projects. There were no flaws in the product and the ceramic was evenly coated. I purchased something similar for a fellow artist who had been using the lids of plastic bowls, and she loved how secure they are on a table. They do not move like the lids did. Great value for the money and highly functional. If working on multiple paintings at the same time, they stack very nicely. Have not used them for anything but watercolors so far. I think they would be really helpful for gouache paint, as you can reconstitute this type of paint, as with watercolors. Storing the leftover paint and being able to stack is ideal for my needs.

Nice ceramic palette. Nice heavy weight (but not TOO heavy), It’s very easy to clean and a good value for the price. It’s great for using with watercolor painting. Very easy to clean - i squirt a little liquid soap in, then fill with water and let soak for a minute or two, then rinse and dry. The mixing areas are small, but perfect when doing small painting and it doesn’t take up much space on my table.

Very nice quality, heavy and sturdy. I highly recommend for watercoloring! The wells are a good depth, and it has a sufficient number of wells for mixing several colors. Easy to clean and beautiful.

I really love this! Plastic is yuck anyhow, but it also stains pretty bad. I have been replacing all of my plastic with ceramic pieces. I've got plates, soap dishes (I love those), and this cute little flower. It's a bit heavy if you're traveling, so I kept the box and I'm okay with it. I know it's a breaking risk, but it's worth it I guess to not have plastic parts. I think it's a great size, VERY sturdy, and easy to use and wash afterward. I do recommend it.

This 9 Well Ceramic Watercolor Paint Palette is very small but the porcelain is good quality.

Favorite go-to palette for mixing different water saturations and keeping them separate. Nice depth without being too deep. Easy to clean, no staining. Next palette will have more wells and larger mixing area, but I will continue to use this one for smaller projects!
