They are made from CNC machined PVC plastic, and will not rot like MDF (medium density fiberboard) or wood. Some companies produce a few models of universal speaker adapters, which they intend to fit a lot of vehicles. The problem with producing universal speaker adapters, is that they never really fit any one vehicle very well. We never produce universal speaker adapters. All of our speaker adapters are vehicle specific, to ensure a perfect fit. In addition to proper fitment, our speaker adapters are tough as nails. Whether replacing worn speakers or simply upgrading, our speaker adapters will allow you to install your aftermarket speakers with ease. These are very simple and get the job done. Screw holes lined up nicely. Only negative was the screws provided aren't long enough once they are inserted into bracket so they don't thread into the vehicle, luckily I had a stash that worked. Nice work guys, you solved a problem we didn't know how to fix. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Gets the job done for bigger speakers. *by on Reviewed in the United States 17 June 2016* Very happy with my adapters. I installed them flawlessly in my 2001 4Runner. They come with provided screws for the speaker to attach to the adapter and it's easy to over thread, so tighten with caution (I over tightened 1 hole). The adapters look like they're cnc routed so there isn't any jagged sharp edges. I didn't have any clearance issues with the window or magnet on the speakers I installed, I upgraded my speakers toPioneer TS-A1376R A-Series 5.25" 300W 3-Way. Took only about 7-10 mins on each side. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ It works! *by on Reviewed in the United States 14 December 2024* What can I say, for something so simple it makes my day so much easier not trying to modify my facotry speaker mounts for aftermarket speakers. --- ## Why Shop on Desertcart? - πŸ›’ **Trusted by 1.3+ Million Shoppers** β€” Serving international shoppers since 2016 - 🌍 **Shop Globally** β€” Access 737+ million products across 21 categories - πŸ’° **No Hidden Fees** β€” All customs, duties, and taxes included in the price - πŸ”„ **15-Day Free Returns** β€” Hassle-free returns (30 days for PRO members) - πŸ”’ **Secure Payments** β€” Trusted payment options with buyer protection - ⭐ **TrustPilot Rated 4.5/5** β€” Based on 8,000+ happy customer reviews **Shop now:** [https://www.desertcart.sn/products/373187475-5-25-5-25-rear-door-spacer-rings-fits-1996](https://www.desertcart.sn/products/373187475-5-25-5-25-rear-door-spacer-rings-fits-1996) --- *Product available on Desertcart Senegal* *Store origin: SN* *Last updated: 2026-10-18*
