Used this for our lab and our newborn and it worked great for comforting both of them during the night. We recommend this for separation anxiety for both pets and humans

Overall I recommend this as an alternative to pricier options if you're not certain your puppy will take comfort with it. It arrived in a vaccuum sealed bag so at first I was surprised that it came in a small package. Pros: - Batteries last a long time (I've had it for over a month and a half of nightly use and while it dulls out, it works) - The pouch where you store the heartbeat is not easily opened, it's secure and my dog hasn't opened it herself - it's fluffy and comfortable, my dog likes to use it as a pillow even when the heartbeat isnt on Cons: - The button to turn on/off can be a little tricky to turn it off - you need to hold it down for 3 seconds or so - There are some looser parts that are easy to chew/damage like the tail and ears I recommend for new puppies recently separated from a littler, and if you don't like the heartbeat it's still a good stuffie for your pet.

Bought “Moosey” for our new puppy and rubbed it all over the mom so that her scent would be on it. Our puppy (now 14 weeks old) sleeps with Moosey every night cuddled up to the heartbeat sound and feel. She loves it and it made transition to our new home almost seamless at 8 weeks of age. She never cried or whined when we put her to bed. I would highly recommend to anyone getting a new pup!!! Most of these cost >$30 - this is great product for the $$

Mr. Moose lives in the crate for our puppy. We only turn the heartbeat on at night but he loves it. He sleeps cuddled up next to it or even on top of it sometimes. He's started playing with it a little more and has discovered the velcro but hasn't been able to open it up yet. We try to reinforce for him that Mr. Moose isn't a toy so he doesn't bite/play with it like he does his other toys but that can be hard when you're trying to get him to stay alone and entertained in a crate. So far he hasn't been able to really tear it up yet but I am worried he will. I won't say this is a miracle worker — if our puppy doesn't want to sleep or be in the crate he still cries and whimpers, but it definitely calms him down when he is sleepy.

My puppy loves his moosey! Especially when we first got him. We got our other pup a “lamby” with heartbeat. Poor lamby is now destroyed. This one is very durable though! The velcro is surprisingly hard to break apart, so my pups haven’t been able to destroy it! My boys do prefer no heartbeat though.

He'd tell you this is his absolute favorite toy! We bought this prior to getting our mini Aussie, anticipating some separation anxiety when we brought him home. We used the heartbeat the first night. After that, he took to this moose as his favorite toy- he carries it all over the house, even though it's bigger than him. If you try to put it away in his crate, he will immediately go behind you and drag it right back out. We haven't even had to use the heartbeat box since that first night- he's comforted just laying on it/chewing on it. We've had him for a month now, and this moose has stood up to all kinds of chewing, being dragged around everywhere, shook hard hanging from Ozzie's mouth. It's a very durable toy. Update: I’m updating this review and taking down to 3 stars because it won’t let me write a 2nd review for my 2nd time purchasing. Our first one was great. But Ozzie finally chewed a hole in one of the antlers so I ordered another to replace it. What I got this time was significantly smaller and has less stuffing in it so it’s more floppy and does not look like the quality is near as good. (One on left in picture is new one, one on right is the first one we bought months ago.) I’m going to try to figure out a way to patch the antler on the first one because I don’t expect this new one to last long.

New puppy was having trouble adjusting to crate training. Thought this might be helpful. He loves the stuffed moose toy. The heartbeat works as it should, but it didn’t help calm him.

My new puppy loves the Elk stuffed heartbeat, I put it in his kennel at night, during the day it’s laying on puppy blanket, puppy uses sometimes as a pillow, so adorable. Love this product thank you
