Fabulous at covering gray - Orange undertones
Used it for covering my gray. I am 40%-50% gray with medium brown hair. Fabulous at depositing color after 10 minutes. The color has orange undertones so beware on lighter hair. You can see the undertone if you apply some of the product to your skin and then wipe it off. I have been testing several similar products: 1. Keracolor Clenditioner in Mocha - absolutely fabulous for my hair color. I wash my hair and then the next day I apply Keracolor Clenditioner the next day for 20 minutes and then rinse it out. Color lasts through a few washings. 2. Sorry, can't find my past order - I will try to find. Worked fabulous with cool burgundy undertones. I will try to find the name. If you are looking for this type of color it is available. 3. Sovoncare in Mocha - I just placed an order and will review with my product purchase.

Works great and is easy to use.
I love this stuff. I am trying to grow out my hair but the ends keep breaking off. The ends also look very light compared to the rest of my hair. It was bothering me but I didn't want to dye it and kill it any worse. These are supposedly damage free, but honestly... I think my hair does seem a little more dry after use. However, my ends didn't split and break any worse than before, so I just make sure to use a good moisturizing mask along with it. I was worried it would take half a tube to dye my hair, but a little goes pretty far. I've tried it on wet and dry hair. I think it lasted longer on the dry hair, but looked about the same overall and applying it to wet/damp hair was easier. The smell is like dye, but less potent, and washed out easily. It does make my hair look shinier and the roots feel soft. At $25 for a couple months worth of color with minimal damage, I think its a great deal.

MELTS off your hair and onto clothes if you sweat at all
The "Chocolate Touch" color is nice. HOWEVER--I am so disappointed, and upset, frankly, that I trusted this product based on reviews without a full range of reali-life experience with it. I caught it on sale--50 percent off, as I recall--and throught I'd better buy a year's worth so I could afford to use it year round. (I wanted to avoid cancer-causing ingredients, so wanted to try this instead of regular hair color.) I now know that I simply cannot use this for the purpose I purchased it--to smooth out greys so that my fellow martial-artists would not perceive me as "old" and not train with me like a normal human being. Well, every single time I use this, it comes off all over my white martial arts gi within minutes of use. I've tried washing it out various numbers of times before putting on the gi, but to no avail--nothing seems to help. It's just too darn embarrassing to continue to use it. It not only gets all over MY gi, but everyone else's that I work with. And I (stupidly) bought almost 30 tubes of this stuff to make it more affordable. Being warm (through training) and sweaty positively liquifies this stuff, so you can't use it when exercising. I don't see anything in the product description about it coming off easily and getting all over your clothes. I am so unhappy with this purchase!

This DOES cover grays!
I love this stuff! It’s the best I’ve found so far. The first day or so my hair has an orangey-brown tint to it, but I can hang with that. In the bright sun it’s obviously HOT in the color department… but the second day in (after just conditioning my hair in the shower) my hair color isn’t as intense. I also use a q-tip to put some in my eye brows. 👍🏼 So far I’ve only used the chocolate color. I was going for a more reddish-brunette look, but this is a bit different. This Wella hair mask stuff stuff is optimal for me because I don’t want to put anything permanent in my hair. I spent so long growing out my henna’d hair, and there is NO WAY I’ll go back to permanent dyes. It fades out over the course of a few weeks. I use about half a bottle on my hair at a time. Usually I want to refresh after a week and a few days, but I can time it before an event so my hair looks less drab if that’s how I want it. 🤷🏻♀️ From the time I start putting the goop in my hair (while wearing gloves) until the time I wash it out about an hour elapses. I leave some on my eyebrows for the last 20 minutes or so. It takes several washings (I use conditioner for the first few showerings) for the extra dye to come out of my hair. I see less dye-colored water on the bottom of my shower by the third wash… but it does NOT dye my pillow case that I’ve seen. 🤔 So THAT’s good. My husband loves when I use it. He still isn’t used to me rocking my drab-perimenopausal-grays! Hahaha! But this is the best of all worlds, not super expensive, it washes out, brightens my face up, doesn’t stink (like the henna or salon dyes did!), I have control over when it’s done, easy to apply… and, as I said before, it’s NOT PERMANENT. That was important to me! In the pictures: Top three pics are of my hair before the chocolate-colored hair mask. Gray hairs abound on my crown with my slightly reddish-brown hair underneath. Bottom three pics are my afters. In the SUN, so it will look a bit less brassy-looking when indoors.. Not gonna lie… it’s a little too orange for me. Wish the mask made my hair more brown. But I DO like how it calms down after the first day. Second picture shows the directions, ingredients, and the reason why you should wear gloves. It’s a mess for the hands and would surely get under the fingernails. Much easier with gloves. 😊

Great at home maintenance
This is a genuine review and not have paid post . I wasn’t looking for a change in my hair. I got black box dye bleached out of my hair with a balayage over a year ago. The goal was to let my natural hair grow out with the slightest amount of line of demarcation from the black box die and highlights. My hair has grown about 6 inches down my head and as I’ve been in the sun, the highlights have gotten brighter. I wanted to tone down the highlights to make it more of a solid color and this literally did it perfectly. I started at my midshaft to end and then applied it to my natural hair color at my roots. Left it in for the full 10 minutes. Surprised as to how soft it actually made my hair. it did exactly what I was looking for and made my color so much richer. I might leave it in a little bit longer to get it just a little bit deeper, but I definitely suggest this to keep a pretty brown and got rid of some brassiness. The photo before is the one with my hand. Second photo is in sunlight third photo is inside.

Turned my gray hair orange.
11/4/25. I wanted to love this. I'm trying to take a break from coloring my hair, I'm 67 yrs old and thought this might help me through this transition of going gray since it's not permanent and washes out quick. While my hair is soft after using, it actually turns the gray hair an unwanted orange color. So the gray line around my face is now orange. My hair is thinning and fine and I had hoped this would give it more dimension . I'm not saying this is a bad product, it just isn't what I had hoped for. It didn't damage my hair at all and the ends are definately darker, enough so it covers the orange when styled, and the gray comes through again pretty quick, so if you are trying this method to get thru this awful transition, save your money. I would have given this a 4 but the orange!! UGH! I also want to add that like hair color, this product will help with shine and softness. I am predisposed to red hair, thanks to my Beloved Mother! Scottish heritage. So again, while I believe this is a good product, it just isn't the answer to my problem. One other thing, it's quite a process, you must first wash your hair, towel dry, and then apply this toner, wait ten minutes {or how ever long you prefer to have it on}, and then rinse it out. If I think of anything else to add, I will do an update.

Made my greys look like blondish highlights
I really like this product. I stopped permanently coloring my long medium brown hair a year ago, and have been living for the first time with dominant grey overtones that definitely made me me look older, but I just didn't want to spend the time anymore continuously dying my hair. I bought the chocolate brown, thinking it would take a dark color to cover, but it actually turned the "salt" in my salt and pepper into what looks like light brown or even blondish highlights. This turned out so natural looking and subtle, & I am very pleased. It did take using Ajax to get it off my sink, but the flip side to that is that it really lasted on my hair (through 2 shampoos so far) so I do not think I will have to use it very often. I actually used very little of my tube, putting it thickly just on the top of my head where the most greys had come in, & then combing it down toward the ends which still had some remaining permanent color. It was so easy and quick... I left it only 10 min., and it was much less messy than the Roux Fanciful which I had recently been using. It also left my hair very smooth and shiny. For me, this stuff is a bargain considering I will likely get 8-10 colorings out of a tube, and imagine I will only have to do it once a month to keep these nice highlights it gave me. The overtones in my hair now are more of a light brown instead of grey. Definitely wear gloves when applying as the color is pretty tenacious. I will be buying more of this and may even stock up in case it gets discontinued.

Red undertones. Pretty & not permanent
Works great but had more of a red undertone than I expected. I wasn’t ready to commit to dark hair so I put it over my highlights & it lasted a few weeks before it fully washed out. It didn’t feel like it damaged my hair and I’d definitely use this brand again, I just wanted less of an auburn tone than this one provided.

Great delivery and product
Came in an additional sealed clear wrap and was in great condition. Really appreciated the seller sending it sealed like that. The item worked well. I had gotten my hair coloured and instead if copper it was bright orange. Used this and it softened and turned it more deeper copper. Dont need alot, and will colour your hands. Lasts a couple of shampoos.

BUEN PRODUCTO

Ok
Good alternative, to damaging your hair with a permanent color. I found it didn't grab on my ends that well.So maybe we'll leave on longer all my ends
