After 6 months, do you fertilize every water change? What kind do you use?

In the summer months, and after plant's "growing-in phase", add liquid fertilizer to the water during every third watering according to the individual package instructions. You may look on-line or ask your local nursery for suggested brands.

Can this be used outdoors in extreemly high temperatures growing succulentst using just the mixyure and not the self watering planters themselves??
