I'm happy with the overall size of the particles and that it doesn't have a smell. The plants I propagated in them grew nice healthy root systems. The PON can be sterilized and used again after moving the propagated plants to their new pots. The downsides would be the cost and that it has to be rinsed well to remove the powder that is surrounding the minerals. If you don't, the sludge will coat the drip trays and has to be washed with water as it sticks quite well.
