This cat fountain has withstood 3 years of constant use. I haven’t had to replace it since I bought it. Super easy to clean, super quiet, and easy maintenance. My cats love drinking out of it and it holds SO much water. Super good for the price and super stable. Haven’t had any issues.

I’ve had this product for 9 months now and it is starting to not work. The pump must be in the beginning stages of starting to go out. I’ve kept up with it and routinely cleaned it weekly if not every other week due to life and how busy it can be. It was kinda simple to clean. The spout was the hardest part to clean due to not having something long enough to curve into it so I had to buy something for that but it was easy to reassemble. It was super quiet as well but the older it has gotten the more I noticed the noise. I have a single cat and she loved it in the beginning and now starting to not like it. For long term I wouldn’t recommend this item but it is good for temporary usage and I will continue to use until I find something I like better. Not to mention the replacement filters you buy for this smell absolutely awful..

This does exactly the job expected. Fill it with water, put in a filter and it recirculates water for your cat to drink. Anecdotally, it's understood that cats prefer to drink water that's running, so they're more likely to drink from this fountain then from a still bowl of water. We bought this for $24 on sale. Would absolutely recommend. A few things you'll want to know. 1. MOTOR WEAR: The directions suggest not leaving this on continually so you don't burn out the motor. We bought an inexpensive manual indoor timer ( https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0BCJRDQKD ) that we've set to turn on and off every thirty minutes. We didn't even set the time of day since that doesn't matter. All that matters is that the timer is on every half hour and then off every next half hour. Hopefully this will keep the motor from burning out. 2. BOWL REQUIRED: The fountain does not come with a small bowl for periods when the fountain is off. Since there are thirty minute periods when the water isn't flowing, sometimes all the water has drained into the return basin where that cat can't get to it. We've put a small stainless bowl just under the fountain head. The water in the small bowl remains available when the fountain is off. We already had a bunch of these, 4 inches wide, 1 inch tall, no rubber bottom, just stainless. The water drips over the lip and into the return basin. A small thin ceramic bowl might also suffice. 3. FILTERS: While the recirculating pump could run without the filters it comes with, it's really smart to use the included filters and replace with fresh filters as necessary. They suggest once a month. We bought these replacement filters: https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0CTD3LW4B. There are black foam filters that go around the pump. There are white cartridge filters that contain activated charcoal to remove toxins/bacterial growth. These fit in the cartridge basket just below the return slot in the stainless lid. 4. HEIGHT: The basin is four inches tall. With the small stainless bowl, it's five inches. That's fine for an eight pound cat or larger. If you have kittens or very small cats, it may be necessary to build a small stage around the basin so that they can actually reach the water. Our cat is just under nine pounds. She's elderly (19) with some vision issues, but started drinking from it without hesitation. 5. NOISE: The recirculating pump is very quiet. There is no need for a sound dampening mat between the floor and the basin. You have to be within inches of it to hear the pump's motor, and even then, it's very quiet. The water does not splash loudly, likely because the filter cartridge causes the water to drip quietly back into the return basin. There will be a bloop when the water turns on, and there may be a trickling sound if you add a small stainless bowl as we did. It really depends on the lip of the bowl. At no time does the trickling sound become distracting or too loud. 6. WHEN TO CLEAN: When you start hearing the basin drip loudly, it means the water in the recovery basin is low. It's probably time to clean the basin and the lid. It usually takes about three days for the water to get that low. Humidity may play a role in how fast the water gets low. We fill it to about a half inch below the max line. Before washing or putting in the dishwasher, remove the pump and the white filter. The stainless parts are all dishwasherable. There is a tiny pipe cleaner that came with this. Store this in a place where you won't lose it! 7. LIGHT: There is a blue led somewhere below the lid that you can see glowing through the base plastic when the pump is running. It is barely noticeable at night, so it will not likely be a wake trigger for those who live in small spaces who have sleep issues. Future versions probably would be better with an amber or red LED light, or maybe even no LED. (Not sure why there needs to be an LED other than diagnostics?) 8. CATS WILL BE CATS: The water returns to the lower basin through the return slit. Be sure nothing ever covers this, as it may cause the water to spill out of the entire system and onto your floor. Then your motor has no water to cool it down, which may cause early motor burnout, as well as a mess of water on your floor. This is all highly unlikely, but I could imagine a store receipt or a leaf accidently covering the slit and causing a mess. Alternatively, if your cat likes to move stuff around or push stuff over edges, it's possible they could push the small bowl to the edge, allowing some of the water to drip over and beyond the return basin edge rather than through the return slit. Nothing like this has happened to us, but felines can be capricious and playful, so it can't hurt to keep a watchful eye. 8. THE CAT: Kitteh says hi.

Great water cat water fountain. The pump works great. Ive had it low many times where the pump wasnt pumping water after I got home from work but the pump still worked fine after filling it back up, no issues. Wish they had a way to see the level inside it. Other than that its been a great water fountain, its silent no noise after initial start up it'll make a noise but it goes away, thats typical for all water pumps as you start them up. My cats love the fountain. I have to fill it every 3-4 days, so my cats are getting plenty of water, that is for sure.

My two boys took to this fountain immediately. They are 12yrs old and never had a fountain before. One of my cats is a terrible splasher, and there was always water on thy floor around the bowls. I'm lucky that both of my cats like to drink water. This fountain ensures they have plenty, and the fountain seems to satisfy most, if not all, of Yuki's need to see the water moving around. One cat drinks from the platform, the other sips directly from the fountain stream. The fountain is easy to clean. I do a basic wash of the stainless pieces and rinse the motor once a week or so. The stainless pieces are ideal to avoid the boys' chin acne that plastic contributes to. Once a month, I do a deep clean. Make sure to take it well apart. I use a watered down vinegar/dish soap solution, and take out and clean each part. That includes all removable parts of the motor. Use a straw cleaner and old toothbrush to get into the crevises. Obviously, rinse everything well. Our fountain is in the bathroom and this deep clean doesn't take much longer than waiting for the tub/toilet cleaners to soak and do their thing. I change both filters when the white filter looks dirty. There are economical filter multi-packs on Amazon. I haven't put any element in the dishwasher, though I suppose you could put only the stainless pieces in ... Again make sure to rinse very well afterwards. The fountain is very quiet, almost silent... Until it needs refilling. If I let the water get a little too low, it starts to bubble a little, but I find that reminder a good thing. Eventually I might get another for the kitchen to spoil my cats but it seems this one fountain is plenty for two 20+lb adult cats who love to drink water.

This is maybe a third fountain we got and is by far the best. It's quiet and fits a lot of water. There's a filter before the water goes back in the container so it can be purified. Replacements were cheap and easy to get. I would definitely recommend an all stainless steel fountain over plastic ones. We've used it for a couple of years and it's still working. A hint, if you let the water run out, the pump will eventually stop, which is good. But then later it might not start right away once you refill and plug it back in. Same after cleaning. I found that if you open the little door and gently touch it, you can give the pump a jump start and then it works fine. The only challenge I've found is that the pump is not the easiest to clean. There's one part that's detachable so you can clean inside, but the other side isn't. You won't notice the buildup right away, maybe after a few months only, but eventually you'll want to give it a good clean and there are a couple of spots that take work to reach. As I've had other fountains, this is a common problem and it's often worse with other brands. I would still recommend this one.

Had this fountain for about 2 years now and overall it’s a pretty good water fountain, holds a ton of water, and actually made my cat drink more water. Plus it’s stainless steel so it’s not as bad as the plastic water fountains out there. Plus it’s super quiet for the most part (until the water is low and then it’s the sign it needs to be cleaned or refilled). The filters do catch a lot of the hair or gunk that gets into the water. However, it loses a star because cleaning it is not optimal. There’s a weird manufacturing problem, there are these little holes on the pump that you can’t get to and can’t clean (and the holes don’t make sense to exist if I’m being honest?) And I’ve had to soak the pieces of the pump in isopropyl alcohol to get the mold that will build up in these tiny crevices. Same goes for the rubber piece that the fountain nozzle sits in and the nozzle itself, it’s really hard to clean. Also since it is stainless steel and I live in a place with hard water, the hard water will create spots on the top so it kinda just sticks but it is what it is. If you do choose to buy this, it is worth it for a time but know these are some of the things that come with the fountain but I hope it’s helpful! Again I’ve had this fountain for about 2 years now so if you actually keep up with cleaning and changing the filters, it doesn’t deteriorate much so I would say it’s good for the price. Just have to meticulously clean the pump which can be annoying.

The fountain itself is really amazing, but unlike the ad, it comes without the 3 replacement filters. When contacting the merchant, they promised to send the filters but it's been over a month and nothing was sent.

My cat took to this fountain very quickly. He says it's a purrriffic gift for a cat. It's very easy to use. Just fill it up to the minium line and place the top on. Plug it in and the water starts coming out immediately. It's extremely quiet and I can't hear it running. I like that it is stainless steel to keep it easy to clean. It's a nice size so I only need to fill it every other day and I give it a rinse out. The tap design is nice to give it that appearance like a sink tap that my cat oh so LOVES to drink from! But, lucky for Mr. PICKLES he now has his own running tap 24/7! It's a very nice product and I look forward to watching my cat enjoy it for years to come.

good fountain, kitty is using it, she loves it. very easy to clean, don't forget to replace filters on time. you plug it in the wall using given usb-end wire. fountain makes very slight water-running noise, which could be soothing, actually. if water is out, it stops running, then I can see that it needs fresh water refill. it has a good size - 3,2 L, enough for more than a week. I don't wait until it completely runs out of water, I refill it every 5-7 ds, in average. I'm satisfied with my purchase. sooo much easier compared to what I had previously - just a simple bowl, which I had to refill daily. fountain could be cheaper, though, would be nice. my friend's cat didn't like hers, so keep that in mind. I guess, if the cat is still a baby, like mine was, then you can train it for this fountain, like I did, when I just took away the bowl & replaced with this fountain, but my friend's cat was an adult one, & refused to use the fountain. think about it before you spend your money for this fountain.
