I wavered on the number of stars to give this as I enjoy putting it together and it had a lot of good features, pleased with most of the results. But I think for most people it would be a big challenge. I do a lot a crafting and had to use things I had on hand, plus I added my own preferences.. I made paper flowers for the bead vases for instance. The pieces to this are very small and require a lot of concentration and attention to detail. I used a lot of sharp point rounded tooth picks to hold beads to make the vases and bottles. They wanted you to use the tiniest labels I have ever seen on the bottles. Tried 2 and when I showed my husband he couldn’t see them. There really is no reason to use them as everything is inside the building and hard to see. I ended up not attaching the 2 roofs as I did all the work on these small pieces and you can’t really see anything with the roofs on. The under water sections are cute but you can’t leave them unattached. You can barely see anything in the upper room. They want a number of things made using a white coated wire. Gluing that stuff was such a nightmare I didn’t use it for the underwater ladder or even some of the chairs, using round and flat toothpicks instead. Underwater I arranged it more the way I liked it and added some preserved elk horn moss between the rocks on the building. There wasn’t enough of the dried green flowers they provided to do everything. If you attempt this, you will get glue everywhere as the pieces are so small. But with a little bit of work you can remove most of it. The directions are in English with good photos but a few of the dimensions given are incorrect and I was missing a few tiny pieces. But I was able to make them using toothpicks and other materials I had. I enjoyed the creativity, even the challenge of how small it was to work with. For the fish, you can cut theirs out but I used some scrapbooking stickers of small fish I already had. Their colors were brighter and I didn’t have to glue them. If you have a machine to make stickers, I would suggest using it for the fish and birds you stick on the clear cover. I really like what I ended up with but for one thing, the dust cover. Gluing it was difficult, and there is no way you can do it without getting glue where you don’t want to. Even though I used a clear glue it dries less clear than I liked and you can see it in all the seams, and where I couldn’t remove it from near the seams where it slid. When done it’s attractive, very cute, and the lights make the entire thing. With all the wires I wasn’t able to put the wires and battery case into the back of the house but you can hide the wires for the most part.. I left the battery case on the table behind it. If you like working with very tiny things,( a magnifying glass came in handy) and you do other crafts, then I think you might enjoy working on this, just allow a week or 2.

Lots of fun
Super fun but super tiny! Be ready for a challenge!

Had fun!!
This one was so fun to make!! I must admit I changed it up a wee bit and made it a 1970's style home. Everything fit together great, no issues in that area. However; the directions are actually deplorable and hard to understand and follow. Maybe revamp the directions? Other than that it was great!!

The instructions are in Japanese only & you will need a degree from MIT to build it
Are you kidding me? All the instructions to build this wildly complicated house are in JAPANESE. We can't read anything and have no idea how to build it and can’t find anything on line either! and it is so complicated. it says its a cool idea for a kid who's 14 or older. listen, you need a degree from MIT to build this thing. and to top it off its a little on the flimsy side and looks like there are broken pieces. so incredibly dissapointed.

Wonky walls
Such a cute and modern design and the accessories are awesome for a contemporary house. This is my 3rd house I’ve made and this one has been the worst unfortunately. Every wall is wonky and curved so absolutely nothing matches up and nothing alines. The wired lights included are so short that you have to add extensions and it’s hell! Absolute hell (which is why I stopped to review this product) I want to love this project and I would if it wasn’t such a disaster. Bummer for the price which is not cheap. I’m 3 days in and I’m so upset that I cannot finish.

Great product - responsive seller
These kits are always challenging and fun. Kit arrived with all the materials packed well. Contacted seller for English instructions and received a same day reply with emailed PDF. my next project!

Worthless
The reviewers who complained about the directions not being in English were right. No English directions at all.Parts are cheap and substandard, flimsy. My daughter is an expert model builder, has won awards at local competitions for her embellished models. She was so disappointed in this she wouldn't even save it for spare parts.

One of the prettier designs of all of these types of 1:24 kits
I am not ready to build this yet but it is in a Memorial project for my beloved great Aunt who was herself a maker, miniature fan and savvy computer tech lady. She was 95 and this kit is her Memorial Tea Shop/Flea Market and Workshop. Here's some good advice to help anyone without experience: take up a couple of paper crafts that will give you great skills you will need to make these kits. Flower making is good, Pop-up cards, and any other of the paper 3D crafts. It will save you a word of frustration. I will also buy professionally made pieces that stand out in the design. They are all 1:24 scale and the objects are quite tiny. I would copy all the sheets as insurance, and try not to handle paper with your bare hands. Good tight fitting gloves will keep the paper clean and using tweezers will help you glue each piece where you want it. I wish they were not so paper-full but they are very nicely designed to be fully loaded, the miniaturist's dream. They are not to be played with but a good size acrylic magnifying glass can be great fun for supervised younger kids. In my project, some of the homes are theirs, to be played with supervised so the great grandkids don't swallow anything loose. Under 4 must be supervised. These homes that are Memorials and from their relatives are to look at. I will use plastic kits for them to use.

Creative project but...
I really like this project as I like to build things and being creative. But I have 2 pieces that are broken... One is one of the windows but that is okay as I can fix it by using glue and paint. The other one is one of the light bulb, which I cannot fix at all because I'm not good at fixing electrical things..! Near the bulb, the two metal parts are touching each other which is not supposed to (it says so in the beginning of the instruction booklet.) And then the wires came off. Now that one of the basement rooms have no light! :( I want to contact the seller for a replacement but I don't see a option for that.

What a dissapointment
This is a long review; I had a lot to say! I had one missing part (small square black window in front) I got no answer to my message to the seller; I ended up doing it with square toothpicks and black paint. Supplied film was not big enough. No placement templates for the fabric so good luck (I ended up making my own template using AutoCAD). Images in the book are ok, but the first page was completely unreadable had to rely on pictures only (bad printing?). The holes for the windows in the wood panels are "rounded" off... but the windows are all square! Had to file each opening! Instructions say to use item #F-89 ( metal wire) the parts stop at F-88. On a design note; the green fridge looks horrible; I ended up wrapping it in metal paper leftover from another project. Quite a few wrong labels in instructions, too many mistakes to ignore. All plexiglass pieces (hand rails, shower) were not protected (no protective film) and most were scratched. The ones with horizontal lines look awful (see picture). Steps are shown in wrong order so pictures show stuff that you have not done yet (confusing)! Walls go up before furniture so it is very hard to install everything.. install furniture before the walls!!! Pieces don't fit well together; paper vs. boards, floors vs. walls. A lot of orange pieces had black marks from being shipped with the black pieces; had to re-paint. Some lights are supposed to go through beads, but openings are not big enough. Placement of bedside lamps are not indicated anywhere but should be given in order to glue the lights on the wall in the right spot. I do NOT recommend buying this model; there are a lot of them out there that are much better. FYI I add flip switches to all my houses so that's what you see on left side (not part of the package) I also added some stone-like vinyl on the bottom slab. I added metal paper on the coffee table legs

Very detailed miniature teahouse
Appreciated all of the detail. The instructions could be better for assembling the structure itself. My placement is off and had to take it apart several times to make it fit together. Also used model glue which discolored the parts but overall am very satisfied. This is a gift for my daughters "English" library.

Really nice results.
I have started three of these kits and this is the first one I actually completed. There was a few broken pieces so I had to either fix them or figure out how to make due without. I had a hard time assembling some of the walls which didn't fit together as they should have and the roof was also very challenging and I had to try to take it apart. You are almost better off using painters tape to figure out how everything goes to together before gluing any of the structure together, aside from the back walls. Some of the instructions were hard to follow so I just did what I felt would work. I also feel like some of the fabric choices were too finicky to work with such as the woven material for the black chair which unraveled too easily. Don't be afraid to use something else if what is provided doesn't work. Overall I'm amazed at how great it looks completed. If I could do one thing differently I would have made the door open so you could see inside better.i feel like the bulk of the amazing details are now not visible because I glued the door shut. I used a combination of Aileen's Turbo Dry Tacky Glue, Superglue Gel with precision tip and Gorilla hot glue for this project. It took me about 30-35 hours to complete.

Numerous pieces missing
Unfortunately quality control appears an issue in This item. Nothing that has so far caused us to abandon the build, but it has been requiring supplementing with handmade pieces. The sizing of the window cutouts are incorrect by 1 mm, which makes a giant difference and required a bunch of sanding to fit. I would not buy this brand again.
