Yamaha ll6 punches way above it's price.
This is the best guitar that can be bought at this price range, period. Consider this, this guitar has the same top (THE most important piece of wood on any guitar, it's the sound board) as Yamaha's LL36 - a $4000 guitar. A. R. E. Stand for acoustic resonance enhancement and this under $700 guitar has it. Laminated sides and back compared to solid wood does not make that big a difference. Think about it - laminated rosewood is every bit as hard as solid and hardness counts. If sound is what you're looking for this guitar is it.

Another Excellent Yamaha Instrument
Excellent sounding acoustic guitar. Well balanced tone. Great sustain. The setup was great out of the box.

Could not be happier for the price.
At the Amazon price, this is an amazing guitar. Their quality is ALWAYS spot on. The banding and MOP are a nice touch on a guitar in this price range. Tone is well rounded. Warm but not boomy or muddy. Highs are clean but not ultra bright. Action right out of the box is pretty nice. I like lighter strings and a pretty low/fast action and I 'might' tweak it a little when I swap strings, but honestly, it's so good I might just leave it alone. The bridge pins are plastic, as you'd expect. I might upgrade to ebony or bone, mostly for cosmetics. I doubt that they will make much tonal difference. Bridge and nut 'seem' to be plastic but I'll have to check the specs. Will swap those out for bone if they are. Finish is a little heavy, as was the norm in the past. Seems the trend is toward lighter finishes, but I prefer the traditional gloss finish. Just personal preference. Overall just a really nice quality guitar. it's no $2000 Martin, but I'd wager that only a few people could tell the difference without seeing it. Overall just great solid Yamaha quality.

Wonderful guitar.
I just opened packaging an hour ago an tune up the guitar. Very good quality workmanship. Sounds very full and and the notes sustain a long time.It plays well and sounds as well as many higher price brands. No regrets on this purchase.

Fantastic
This guitar looks and sounds great. You can stand onstage beside hummingbirds and J45’s and not feel out of place. The only disappointment was realizing it didn’t have a front strap button 20 minutes before I left for a gig, but I remedied that with a drill and a button from a Les Paul.

Wonderful sub $600 guitar
Great guitar for the price. The finish was great, action was spot on and no setup was required. The only think I would wish for is a strap pin at the base of the neck.

You'll need to EQ it
I like everything about this guitar except the Electric part. It sounds extremely tinny and harsh so you'll have to EQ it quite a bit. It has near perfect intonation. Fret work is smooth. Action is perfect, and if you're wondering, no, the LL6 doesn't come with a case.

Wow Yamaha Cannon
This guitar is loud in the good way. Great sustain and tone. Fingerboard is a hair wide but that makes it very playable. Haven’t plugged it in but I will later. Played it side by side with my solid body Alvarez. The Yamaha is better because of the wide fingerboard and the volume. Got it from the Amazon Warehouse and it is pristine. Get one it sounds and plays amazing right out off the box.
