I have been using this product for many, many years to wash my face. It is the only facial cleanser I will use. It used to be commonly available in big box stores like Target, then I could only find it on Amazon/online, then they only sold it through their exclusive website. I kept buying it despite the difficulty and expense (shipping to Hawaii) because it is worth it. I am thrilled(!!!) that this is finally back on Amazon. This product single handedly resolved my cystic acne when I was younger to the point where I threw out my prescription for Accutane before ever even actually trying it. I bought this on a whim and decided to try something ultra gentle before starting the Accutane as nothing else had ever worked for my skin. My painful acne cysts and blister red skin started healing immediately. It basically cured my problem skin. I threw out the Accutane prescription and never needed to return to the dermatologist for anything acne related. I love this cleanser with all my heart and I will probably use it until I die, honestly. It is super gentle. The smell is pleasant and clean and lightly fragranced enough for a baby (obviously). It cleans without stripping the skin. It is the only cleanser I allow on my face but I do sometimes use it on other areas of my body especially if I need something gentle after a sunburn, wound, etc. I cannot say enough good things about this product. It is my one and only holy grail skincare product. Thank you for bringing it back to Amazon.

This is an expensive product, but well worth it, I feel ... I've been using this on my now-4.5-year-old since he was a baby. Of the various shampoos and body washes marketed for children as "tear-free" (including other natural and organic brands -- which we generally aim for in all facets of our home life), this one truly matches the claim with the reality. I've tested some other children's "tear-free" brands on myself, letting suds get in my eyes, and was disconcerted to find that they still caused stinging in the eyes. Not all other brands, but definitely some. California Baby brand actually IS tear-free -- no stinging. My son is very sensitive to water and soap getting in his eyes, and this has caused some fear and panic around hair washing (he also doesn't like getting water in his ears, so dunking in tub water is not a possibility). While we ended up finding a technique to use when washing his hair that helps prevent water and drips (and that works for him too, helping to alleviate his fear -- we use a damp washcloth squeezed of most water, folded lengthwise in thirds that we place across his forehead to catch water) -- this shampoo and body wash from California Baby gives me extra peace-of-mind. I also love that you can use it for the whole body AND as a gentle bubble bath that doesn't cause skin irritation or potential stinging in the eyes from water splashing in my son's face during bath play. I use it on myself!! The smell is lovely too -- a calendula base with a gentle lavender scent. To me, the cost is definitely worth supporting a product that is better for both the earth and for my son.

I love this soap, it's perfect for babies or just sensitive skin in general. This was a staple in our home when my daughter was a baby. Works perfect for sensitive skin, smells wonderful, and it's very calming. Definitely always recommend

My 8 week old son developed a mild case of cradle cap. It's not supposed to bother the babies, but it bothered me so I bought this soap figuring at worst it would be a nice smelling organic soap to use for my son and at best it would cure his cradle cap. It's true that this produce is a great soap for baby-- it's all organic, comes highly recommended by childcare experts, and smells nice. Also, at night when my husband scrubs my son's head lightly with a washcloth and this soap it seems to remove the cradle cap flakes. Unfortunately, the flakes sometimes come back the next morning so it's not a perfect cure. That said, I also bought the California Baby Calendula cream, and when I added that to the mix the cradle cap goes away. All and all, I really like this product.

I've been using these for a couple of months and I do not regret buying these. I was a bit hesitant at first because it is a higher price point that your typical Johnson and Johnson baby bath products, but my baby's skin took to this so well. No rashes, bumps, irritation whatsoever. Smells great and lathers nicely. I'm definitely repurchasing. Plus it's a big enough bottle to last several months (we are on months 4 and still have about a 3rd of the bottle left).

Love this shampoo and body wash. It's not completely tear-free, but it is pretty darn close. My 7-year-old uses this and really likes it. The bottle is a little difficult to open the first time but then it's very easy to use and doesn't leak. It lathers well and the moisture level seems to be okay. I can't speak to the shine, I mean it seems about average. Overall it works well and I would recommend.

I bought this about 5 months ago & there is still some left. It's non drying for my 2 boys & cleanses them just right. I tend to change products but I think I will be sticking to this for years to come.

Both of my children had a terrible reaction to the bubble bath, body wash and lotion. Within minutes of sitting in the bath they were scratching and covered in hives. I have never seen my nearly 4 year old son react like this to anything. Had to return the second batch I had ordered. Very suprised after the good reviews I had read.

Too watery and it dries my son's skin.
