Does Not Leak, Sippy Cup Style, Filter Tap Water
Great item! Really filters tap water, you can taste the difference. Super convenient for drinking water anywhere and not needing to cause more environmental harm with disposable bottled water, not to mention it saves you money in the long run. I own both the Brita and Philips brand of these filter style bottles, both work well, but I prefer the design of the Philips. The inside of the Brita spout has a ridge in the silicone that keeps trapping bacteria no matter how much I clean it. The bottles are a bit brighter in person than the colors shown in the photos, just something to note. I have used it every day for two months now and there is no mold issue in the cap. Just wash the cap and attached straw tip frequently. I do every time I refill. You need to hold this upright and suck through the straw like you are a kid using a sippy cup, lol. If you try to tilt and pour, nothing will come out! Also I can never seem to drink the last bit of water in the bottle, I always have to unscrew the top and pour. Minor issue, but wanted to mention in case someone finds that annoying. It's a well-designed product, does not leak. Oh and last thing to mention - the plastic can get fingerprints on it very easily and does not keep cool, so if those things are important to you, get the stainless steel version. I am one of those odd people that likes their water room temperature so I don't mind, and I like seeing how much water I have left, so that's why I got the plastic one. EDIT: Been using this bottle for close to a year now. I am seeing all these reviews talk about mold. Well, you really have to ***WASH FREQUENTLY EVERY DAY*** to keep the mold away. Do not let it sit overnight with your saliva all over the spout. I have uploaded a new photo and you can see the only speck of mold I have is oddly on the plastic portion and not the silicone parts. I am not even sure if it's mold tbh, could just be a gray dot of discolored plastic? The color is also way off, because it was taken in the kitchen under fluorescent lighting. Every single night I wash the entire bottle and cap, including sticking a straw cleaner in the spout opening, then let it completely air dry, LID OPEN, before using again the next day and this habit has kept the mold away! If you don't mind all the washing effort, then you probably won't have a mold issue, but if you are a low maintenance person, this is not a bottle for you.

Love it. Clean water and saving money
I used to have this same one in stainless steel. While I liked it very much and saved me a lot of money (especially in airports), it was a little on the heavy side. This is just as good and lighter. Another plus is that the filter do not take half the bottle like others that I have had before

The smell gets better
To be honest, when I first got it I was concerned about the plastic smell from the spout and was thinking "what's the point in getting nice filtered water if the nasty plastic smell destroys all your enjoyment of the water?" ....because smell affects taste so very much. I soaked it in bicarbonate + water, oxy powder + warm water, both a few days each, and it improved it veeeery slightly. But I really needed a water bottle so just decided to use it. To my surprise, I kind of got used to it. For somebody as finicky as me especially when it comes to taste and smell, it's unusual to "get used to" something like this, but it happened. And I'm happy. I like everything else about it - the ease of washing, the design, the ease of flipping the cap open, the fact that it doesn't spill even if the cap is open, the colour, the size. Make sure to leave the cap open after washing so the inside can dry out too. I used to own a Bobble bottle, the original (I believe) of the built-in filter water bottle, which I bought in the early 2010s. I still have it and use it, I love the design of that one too, but I'm really happy with this purchase and will probably keep it for a long time.

Leaks in unexpected way
Overall, a good water bottle, with the major issue being that if you don't keep it upright at all times when you open it to take a sip, it leaks all over you. I use this for plane travel - if you keep a bottle in your bag under the seat, there is no leaking when on the floor and lid is secured - but as soon as you open the lid to take a sip, water spills out all over you - making it pretty much unusable for the scenario I need it for. If you always keep upright or can dump water out when open, it would work great

Liked this bottle more than expected
Standard for all my reviews: When reviewing products, I always remain objective and honest about the product or service. I always review with information that I feel others would like to know about the product as I always assume what I'm writing will influence for or against the purchase. I always try to go above and beyond surface characteristics and input into quality, value and application. Most importantly, I will always end the review with an answer as to whether I'd purchase the product again which I believe is the most critical question pertaining to the item. To manufacturers: Want me to review your items, just let me know! I didn't want to break the bank for a filter bottle for our 3.5 week trip to Iceland but wanted something that was functional, handy, not overly complex and cheap. This bottle was fantastic and I'll be using it even after trip ended. It's easy to use, the water is tasteless and it's easy to fill/operated. The only issue I had was making sure to drain the straw after opening - If you're too quick to take it out after unscrewing the top, the water will drain out on your pants, the floor, etc. It's not the bottles' problem, just a learned operation. If you're looking for a cheaper filter bottle, I'd recommend this bottle. It was along on every one of our long hikes and performed very well. May purchase one of these for my wife who expressed some desire after seeing mine.

Perfect!
Loving this! I work away on on a drilling rig where the water is filtered but still gross, this made it taste so much better. The spout/straw design is quite good too I think. Have dropped it plenty of times too and it's not even scratched, very solid. highly recommend.

Average
There seems to be a product fail with this. The "straw" is continually falling out of the mouthpiece part. Frustrating! I had similar with my old, smaller bottle of the same design. Otherwise, a good quality product.

Not working
I purchased this to filter bacteria from municipal water, which usually works for Brita jug. This worked for one day.
