I purchased these to place inside of the storage containers for telescope OTAs and related optical and electronic equipment. I have rechargeable desiccant in those containers, so wanted to monitor the Temp/Humidity in the garage and inside the storage containers.Compact Hygro/Thermo device. Batteries already activated in package. Each unit takes 2 - 44 batteries. Comes with two extra sets of batts. Put them out and let them acclimatize. They were all fairly close in temp and humidity readings. Varied slightly, but acceptable. Removed batteries from the unused units and will store them until needed.Cons: The display is visible from straight on, but if you are viewing at an angle, you can't read the display. For the price and my needs, this is acceptable.If things go south, I'll update the review. Otherwise, they seem to be accurate and work for my needs.

Purchased these for an extra Humidity/Temperature visual for my Cigar Humidors. Liked the size and simplicity.Out the box they all were reading differently. This was to be expected as this is a 12 pk. of basic hygrometer that as a standard, needs to be checked for accuracy and marked for calibration.How to: Take a Bottle Cap. Fill it with Table Salt. Add a couple drops of water (not to fill above the salt line - not a slurry). Place the hygrometers and the cap in a sealable tupaware or good ziplock bag for 24 hrs. Notate the difference of each hygrometer off from 75%.Once completed, outside of 1 (which I will not use), they were only off by 1-2%.11/12 units under their known rated discrepancy, and under $20. Worth it.Purchase this confidently.Side note - This seller came with a hand written note. Nice touch.
