Exactly what I needed and worked great
I made a small ramp at the end of our driveway to smooth out the transition from the road to the actual driveway. It was about a 2" step up - not a big deal, but I recently got a low riding car where this step up was a factor. I always wanted to smooth it out the transition, but never had a good reason - now I do. I used cold patch asphalt (which btw is terrible stuff from the big box stores), and I knew that making a clean, long-lasting tapered edge is impossible with this type of asphalt (actually any asphalt for that matter). So in comes this product to line the bottom parts that meet the road. Super easy to lay out and install. It only takes some heat and it conforms with the area locking everything in place. It is super durable, in fact, I think it's more durable that the asphalt itself! I used a weed torch and propane tank to apply heat which worked amazingly well - just have to be careful to not burn the tape, which doesn't take too much skill. Now there is a nice clean edge all the way along the part that meets the road and looks way better and up'd the durability of everything 10 fold. Cold asphalt by itself would slowly "flake" off and look like a jagged mess on the edges. 100% recommend this tape for any appropriate usage.

Great stuff
Iโm a DIY guy and this stuff works WAAAY better than I expected. I put down a couple of rolls, was expecting it would detach once my car rolled over it. That hasnโt happened. Then I was concerned that its thickness was cosmetically unappealing. We had several 95 degree days and this stuff just melted into the cracks. Looks like professionals came out and poured the hot stuff. Once I put down sealer at the end of the summer my driveway is going to look great.

Worked great, no more weeds between the street and my sidewalk
I've been fighting a weed issue in front of my house for years where weeds would come up in the small gap between the street tarmac and the sidewalk. I tried various pavement caulks and sealers in the past still only to be defeated by the weeds. This has turned out the be the best fix and has almost completely eliminated the weed situation. I can't speak to the long term durability of sealer, but it held up fine through the winter and still seems to be holding up well. Despite being a bit darker than the tarmac, it looks nice an uniform and doesn't stand out. I used a torch connected to a propane tank to install. I ran over several time to ensure it had been heated an melted enough to bond with the road.

needs different formula
2 inch width is a nice feature , but it does not melt and flow as well as pli-stix brand .

Terrific for sealing smooth and rough surfaces
This stuff is Grrreat! I had terrible sun roof leaks in my Ford Explorer. I had many small leaks and as it all got worse my passenger floorboard would fill up with a couple inches of water. I put this tape completely around the seal and the leaks are gone! I used a heat gun to carefully kind of melt the tar on the metalโฆ not the glass. On the glass I just messaged it into the glass with my fingers. My car is silver and it hardly even shows up. My car was in a wreck several years ago and the drivers side rear pillar has always leaked drip drip! I spent over a thousand dollars and no resultsโฆ drip drip drip. I molded this product neatly around the rear luggage rack mount and no more leaking and I did it carefully so itโs hardly noticeable. Still have plenty left but Iโm buying more to help others. A friend of mine is going to use it to fix a bird bath leak ! Iโm buying more! Charles F

Pleasantly surprised by how well this worked.
I had had a section of my asphalt driveway replaced as it had failed. To put in the new asphalt, the old section was cut out and dug up and then new asphalt put in. This left seams where the new and old asphalt came together. I saw this and thought I would try it out to seal the seam area. I used a propane torch to melt the rubber into the seam. We just got 8 inches of snow and ice, and while using my tractor and front end loader, I did manage to rip up a small section of this patch. As I was evaluating the result, I noticed that this particular section I probably had installed first and perhaps did not melt it as evenly as I did later sections. I also used some of the tape to fill cracks up to 3/4" wide and those all held in place even running a tractor front end loader over them. I ordered 2 more rolls to fill in some other areas. Very pleased with the performance.

Professional crack repair! Worked great!
The product worked very well, even on my first try. It felt a little awkward for the first couple of minutes, but I quickly got the hang of it. Within minutes, I was laying the tape smoothly over driveway cracks and heating it with my propane torchโfelt like I was repairing asphalt like a pro! The key is in the heating: once the tape develops a slight wavy, melted look, thatโs the sweet spot. Just keep the torch moving slowly, let it start to melt, and move on. The application was straightforward once I found that balance. The durability looks promising so farโtime will tellโbut overall, Iโm very impressed and highly recommend this product for asphalt crack repair.

Quality product
Torched this across the end of the driveway where it meets the road to keep water out. It is impressively thick and heavy. I used a "cooking" torch I bought on sale and it did the job. A bit of art involved in heating it to the melt/running point but you'll figure it out. The next day the tape was under an inch of water but it's still there. It has exceeded my expectations.

Works great
Works great to seal smaller cracks in black top driveway. Easy install. Be sure to heat the product well to ensure it flows and does not stand high, first try did not heat enough to flow and leave a nice transition, heated the second try more and flowed nicely with little transition
