Got a good deal on this during pre-holiday sales so I bought one for my BFF & one for myself. I was intrigued by the sliding "volume control" feature & surprisingly, it actually does work. I wouldn't call the tone exactly deep tone but it's definitely not a tinny or tinkling sound...more of a mid range & "rounded" tone not a cheap clanking noise. The sound of these chimes shouldn't upset your neighbors... BUT if that's really your goal then don't buy this brand.The materials seem to be good quality and the finish was smooth & very pleasant to look at. It arrived neatly packaged in a box... not just tossed in a plastic bag in a jumbled mess of tubes & strings like so many other chimes I've purchased in the past. I didn't feel like I was wrestling multiple tangled strings of Xmas lights or a jumbled mass of clothes hangers... if you know what I mean?!Anyway, these are definitely pleasing to eyes & ears. My BFF & I are both pleased & looking forward to hearing our new chimes while we sip tall iced teas & chill on our screened porches this summer.

I bought these chimes to hang outside of my apartment balcony because I have always enjoyed hearing the sound of wind chimes when it is windy outside… This item does not disappoint. They are beautifully crafted, and look gorgeous hanging on my wall outside. The sound is soothing in tone, and it can be modulated in volume by adjusting the length of the center piece. I am very happy with the purchase and recommend it highly.

Like the sound quality of this metal chime. I also like that volume can be lowered by moving the wooden clapper up, which keeps neighbors happy on windy days. It gets a fair amount of sun & has weathered well in the several months I have used it.

I bought 2 of these for gifts. They were smaller than I expected but the sound was better than I expected!

This is a beautiful product. It was made and packed with pride. The workmanship is great. I would highly recommend it! I purchased the brown set and it is exquisite. I was surprised at how loud it is. Some folks may not want a loud windchime, but I'm very glad it is loud because I not only love windchimes, it drowns out the neighbor's whining, yipping and barking dogs of which there are eleven. I love these wind chimes! So glad to have bought them because they add calm and peace into a hectic life. The sounds the chimes make are beautiful and you can adjust the volume as well which I thought was genius! Also, these are great if you meditate. It helps put you in a zen state quite easily. I put my chimes up on my garden balcony and I can enjoy the melodic calming sounds throughout my apartment. I have no complaints of the craftsmanship. It is well made and stunning next to the greenery of my plants. The hummingbirds were a little wary at first, but after a couple hours they were back enjoying the hummingbird feeder. So overall, these chimes don’t just make pretty sounds. I think they are very helpful in improving the quality of life.
