Great Service...
The most unique plant you can get for your tank. Considered by most to be difficult to grow, however its general needs in terms of PH, Temp, light, fertilizer, etc... are nothing out of the ordinary. The plant can be fussy and may not be the heartiest of plants. With that said, its beautiful, but pricey and a bit hard to find. Buying in bulb form is cheaper, and more challenging, but also quite a rewarding experience. I purchased 3 bulbs. They came quickly and packaged well. However, after almost 2 months of trying to get them to sprout using a variety of techniques generally recommended, none of the bulbs sprouted. They all essentially rotted. Very dissapointing. However, a quick email to the vendor and they sent me 3 new bulbs within 24 hrs, no questions asked. These new bulbs are great! All three were in a partial state of sprouting and thus very viable. Within 3 days of planting in my 75G tank, one bulb has 3 leaves ~ 1.5" and several new sprouts as well, the second bulb has one leaf over an 1" and the third bulb is just starting to show a sprout. Thats excellent. I look forward to watching them grow over the next few months. I'm giving 5 stars because the vendor has been very reputable with service being excellent. When buying aquarium plant bulbs, the success rate of sprouting can be very low or nothing. With a plant like this, success can be even more limiting. I knew that from much past experience. This vendor stood behind their product and provided fast, excellent service. Very satisfied and would recommend to others.

Excellent experience. The bulbs seem to be growing leaves. So, fingers crossed!

Will rot. Will make your water dirty and cloudy.
Bulbs never bloomed. One rotted right off the bat, the second rotted a a week and a half later even at the much cooler "needed" temperature. Save your money and go to a local store. I was able to buy half dozen nice lace plants and they thrive in all my tanks!

Fast Growing, Beautiful Plant
The bulb arrived in good condition, didn't look like much. I just dropped it in the area I wanted it not putting it under the gravel at all. Within hours new growth showed. Within days I had a small plant. It's been a couple weeks and the growth has slowed a bit. The bulb has put roots into the gravel I still have not planted the bulb at all. This is still the most beautiful fastest growing plant in any of my tanks. I would absolutely buy this plant again from seller. The most important thing is do not cover at all with gravel or you risk rotting.

Both bulbs are growing!
I was a bit concerned when the bulbs arrived, as they were a bit slimy, but a quick rinse off with tap water helped that. Placed partially buried in my substrate, one bulb had a leaf on arrival and it was purple! This bulb is growing slowly is a shadier part of my tank and the leaves are recumbent-still emerge purple and then turn a dark olive green. The other bulb (the most slimy one) took a while to send up a leaf, but it is a very bright green and more erect. As far as the purple one, I am wondering if I got a different subspecies or if I have a genetic sport?

So much growth in just a week
Mine arrived as JUST the bulb. Not going to lie, I was a little bummed about that but I’m giving this 5 stars because it’s very healthy and so much fun to see it grow so quickly. In just two days it had two sprouts. In one week, it has like 4 leaves starting and you can see the “lace” like leaves this beautiful aquatic plant has. My tank runs 79-80 degrees so I knew I was taking a risk with this, but it’s doing great with my betta fish so far. This plant can get very large so I have plans to move it to another larger tank when that happens. Also buyers keep in mind this plant should not have its bulb buried. If you do that, you’ll risk rotting the plant.

Not what I was expecting.
Update: to fit the 3-foot leaves, they folded the plant a few times. Every one of those folded leaves died at the folds and caused a mess in my tank even after I cut out the dead sections. Even the “new” growth is showing signs of damage from shipping. I seriously would have preferred a bulb with zero growth like I ordered. Original review: I’m not sure how I feel about what I received, but it’s definitely not what I was expecting. I thought I’d be getting a bulb that I needed to grow. This was a 3-foot tall plant when I hung it upside down out of water. It’s beautiful. Packing could have been done a little more carefully for what it was. It was folded over enough times to fit in a 6”x4” box along with another actual bulb and another plant that wasn’t in as good of shape. So, I got more than I expected. But I feel like I’m missing out on the fun growth aspect. I really enjoy watching a plant go from something small to a full plant. :-)

Good replacement
i just wanted to say that the first bulb i had received smelled like mold and had already failed growing and once i had it in water it just physically grew mold so i was about to throw it away after i decided to request a replacement so i took it back and put it back in the water waiting for it to grow mold again so i could take a picture of it as proof it wasn't doing well so i didn't even complete my replacement request and they had already send another one a few days later and this one looked great and was growing nicely on it's own already so thank you amazon for always coming back with a good replacement every time i had a problem with an order. So far i have great trust with amazon. Keep it up.
