A: I am not sure what you mean by hideout but, we used it on my arm to show the veins.  It does not do a good job in showing where the veins are located.

A: It works on any shallow veins, but works best when there isn’t too much subcutaneous fat.  Your chances of getting a vein on the first try will improve.
