Is it safe to plug in my cora salt lamp next to my bedside table lamp?

I just wrote an explanatory 1-star video review for this lamp. I ordered one initially that had the issue, so I ordered a replacement, which unfortunately has the same issue. The issue is when the lamp is plugged in, but not turned on, the lamp sounds inside like it has electricity running through it, like a short-circuit. When the lamp is on the sound dissapears, but when you turn it off you can hear the electricity sound inside. Because of this I don't feel safe leaving the lamp plugged in since it may start a fire if the short circuit extends. I'm going to return both lamps that I received.

Can you replace with a higher watt bulb? According to a review you need 15 for the salt to really do it's job.

It is a C7 socket you need a bulb that will fit it. Good luck on finding one at a higher wattage.

Do the salt rocks get warm to the touch? Does it have to be on full power to heat them?

Honestly-- I never touched them!

Does anyone have a hard time with the power button? Difficult to get mine to come on

I did at first. My solution was to keep it it turned on after I managed to turn it on the first time. I did notice it has to be a very subtle touch, don't press it hard.
