I am SO HAPPY with this backpack. It looks like an expensive hipster backpack but was so reasonably priced. The crimson color is a dark heathery maroon, with black accents and gold zippers. The material is a really sturdy & stiff canvas, fully lined (even in the side pockets!). Around the top opening there is some type of boning that keeps the bag fully open, and it stands up really well on it's own so you can just reach down into it from the top. There's a zipper along the back that opens into the main pocket, so you don't have to open the whole bag from the top if you just want to slip something out. It fits my Surface book, in a case, with room for all of my student's work (I'm a lazy grader) as well as my grad school notebooks and texts. There are two open side pockets that can fit a waterbottle, a generous front zipped pouch pocket, and two smaller interior pockets at the top of the back wall (great for chargers). The handles at the top are juuuust long enough to slip over a wrist.Two (possible) cons: (1) The straps are stiff as well due to the fabric, and only lightly padded, so if you need shoulder padding look elsewhere. (2) I would say that this bag is a little heavy when empty (particularly compared to the cloth backpack I've been using) but it's construction and usefulness more than makes up for it.

Worked fine until the plastic pice that secured the backpack strap to the bag broke. Lasted 5 months. Otherwise the bag works fine, zippers are smooth, wide opening is fantastic, gold tone zippers and hardware did not look cheap. I would recommend others try it. I will try to find a replacement plastic piece to attach the backpack strap as the bag was very useful before the strap broke. I have attached a picture of the black plastic piece that is intact on one side of the back pack and the two straps side by side where the black plastic piece is missing on the other side.5/20/18 Update: Vendor issued full refund. I was able to jury-rig a connection with parachute buckle and paracord from a local craft store. Works ok now. I would give this product another chance.

as a college senior i usually only carry a few items all around campus (my laptop, chargers, notebook, pens/pencils, and a water bottle). i was using a cute tote before but it was killing my shoulders! this bag was the perfect solution and worth the price for me.i purchased the L - Green bag which is a brighter olive color with some tan accents and gold zippers. this bag feels very sturdy and stands up on its own. the main compartment is a perfect fit for my 13" MacBook Air, A4 papers and folders, chargers, and other small items with room to spare. the side pockets can fit an umbrella and a venti starbucks cup just fine (... for reference. i swear this ain't sponsored).while it does fit a lot, i wouldn't say that this bag is "large" by any means though. do not expect this bag to have the same capacity as one of those multi-compartment adidas backpacks. the straps are also quite stiff and i'm hoping they'll soften up over time.

So far there’s nothing wrong with the bag and that’s why I’m giving it a 5 star. I do want to mention that I found the reviews themselves to be misleading. The bag is not as huge as people describe it in my opinion. This bag is slightly bigger than a backpack but not by much. I was expecting something bigger, but it still serves its purpose so overall a good buy.A huge plus side about this bag is the back zipper. It REALLY comes in handy when you don’t want to open it from the top.

As a diaper bag I wish it had more internal pockets, however I love this bag. Great color too. I didn't realize when you unzip the bag it is a hard wire top that allows the bag to open wide. Almost everything inside is easy to find because you have great access to it. It stands up when you put it down, bonus! I use this even when the kids are not with me. I hated the one that goes over just one shoulder, it always swung off when I bent down, this one is more versatile and sturdy.

I really like this backpack, but there are some major flaws. This was my go-to bag on a long trip, and the structure of the bag at the top makes it really easy to get things in/out of and look for what you need. The reason for 2 stars vs. 5 is that after carrying it 4 times, the stitching at the top of the backpack straps started loosening and is in danger of tearing. The bag wasn't overloaded or abused, so that's unacceptable quality for a bag that's designed for daily use. It also has a strong chemical smell which even after a month of airing-out hasn't dissipated (although it is less stinky than a similar bag we had).Pros:*Simple design, not too many pockets, easy to find your stuff.*Structure makes the bag easy to get things in/out of*Bag material is sturdy and water-resistantCons:*Quality issue - the stitching that connects the backpack straps to the bag is not strong enough, and started to come loose after only a few light uses.*Light interior lining would be helpful for finding things in low light.*Side pockets could be a little bigger to accommodate larger water bottles*Smelly

The cutest bag/backpack i have owned. Material is sturdy. It's well made and great quality. Have gotten compliments already!! It also has lots of room. I can fit about 3 binders... stack of paper... and my laptop. It's awesome. Does the job with style.

I absolutely love this backpack. It's stylish, durable, waterproof, and spacious. I took it as my personal item on a ten-day trip and it was able to fit so much in it I was amazed. I really like the frame around the opening as it made it so easy to get things in and out of the bag. The handle makes it super easy to carry when not wearing it as a backpack, which is helpful when it's full and you are running about. It has one minor flaw, which is that opening and closing the bag with one hand can be a bit awkward, especially when it's full, but it's a non-issue compared to what the bag brings to the table. I'm using it as my main backpack now, and will most likely get another in the near future. I'm hooked for life.

Nice looking backpack. Comfortable. Stands open nicely. Check the different models/ colours carefully as size and pocket configuration differ and I didn’t get the one I thought I was getting. Main concern is my bag was new with tags and sealed in plastic, but had a well-used tube of lanolin in the front pocket. A bit concerning in a time when we are supposed to be super conscientious about what we’re touching.

Did a lot of research as I am picky when it comes to bags. I LOVE this bag, it does everything I wanted, it looks great, its made well, but mostly, it has a very wide zipper (it goes done the sides some), and a very deep main compartment, so it fits all of my art supplies, and room for miscellaneous items. Highly recommend!

I absolutely love the look of this backpack so was heartbroken when the side zipper (a pretty essential part of keeping the contents inside since it's not separate) broke during my flight on the first trip. I had no choice but to return it.

Good size, durable fabric, easy to load. Flimsy zippers and lacks padded laptop compartment.

I like the bag a lot, the shape size and color are great! Maybe it was my mistake but there is no laptop pocket or USB spot. Little disappointed about that but like the bag to much not to keep!
