Atari 2600 Console Joystick and Paddles Desk Lamp Light Sculpture with Lamp Shade This is where it all started: The Atari 2600 and its iconic joystick with one button, yes just one red button is all you needed back then. Video gaming does not get more primal than this yet the Atari 2600 console would become a cornerstone of home gaming as we all know and love today. Using Atari 2600 recycled hardware I created a fun and functional conversation piece for any room. What is really cool about this lamp is that it is totally interactive. All the controllers can be rotated 360 degrees for an almost infinite number of position combinations! Plus all of the buttons can still be pressed like normal and the paddle dials still turn. The console itself is in excellent condition with all of the metallic switches still able to move normally. With its retro wood trim finish it was commonly known as the "Woody 4 Switch" console. I will even include a free game cartridge that can be inserted into the game slot. The metallic "core" is double bolted inside the console, very sturdy. The lamp shade is included and can be easily removed. Fits any standard size light bulb (up to 40 watt for the old incandescent bulbs or up to 13 watt for the new energy saver bulbs). A fitting tribute to the awesomeness of Atari. The overall height of the lamp including the shade is approx 19 inches tall. The power cord is approx 50 inches long.
