So does anyone know how this compares with the Paellero "Valenciana" style seasoning? The ingredients are a bit different..

In general, there are many types of Paella depending on the reagion from Spain as well as the ingredients. The paella Velenciana does not contain seafood, it is more meat based wether rabbit, chicken, chorizo, it also combines tomatoes, a type of breen peas or lima bean called judias, olive oil, saffron and paprika. Valenciana has no seafood, Paella mixta has everything and paella marinera is basically seafood based. I hope this would help you.

What are the spices/ingredients?

It has paprika, saffron, salt and other spices. This is easier to use as you have all essential ingredients in one packet to make paella.

Can you translate the directions for me. Mainly 1 packet per how much liquid. I translate 1 packet for 6 but no quantity for water. Thanks

I don't use the recipe for paella from the pack. I make my own and it serves 8 people. I use a whole pack wt 4 1/2 cups chicken stock and 1 lb of uncooked rice. Don't be afraid to use a lot...it gives a great flavor. Hope that helps! :)

I have to say I was skeptical about using a packaged seasoning for paella but it just contains the spices that you will need. A friend of my husband's from Spain is the one that had recommended it so we decided to try it out. The flavor was on point, it was easy to use, and I really liked the bit of clove in there which just added a little something to the paella. It may seem to be on the costly side, but considering how much saffron costs, it makes sense. I would keep this on hand for my paella days!
