Why did you pick this product vs others?: Just what I wanted.

I have a 28" 300 PRC barrel, and the fat part of the cleaner is in a place far enough forward that it stops the cord from exiting the end of my barrel with my 2" muzzle brake on it. It's 1.5" shy of the end, which means it's about 2.5" too short for me to get a grip on anything and actually pull it through the barrel. Just a heads up. I can use it on my other 30 cal guns, but not the one I was hoping to use it on.

This is an excellent tool for cleaning the bore of your rifle. I am very particular about keeping metal on metal contact with my carbine and rifle bores. The Ripcord or Bore Snake if used properly will keep your rifle bore clean and free of metal on metal scratching of the bore. The only metal on the Ripcord is the brass ends which are threaded to accept a variety of cleaning brushes and cleaning attachments. If you desire even more protection, wrap some plastic electrical tape around the brass ends of the Ripcord/Bore Snake. I clean my highly prized and pristine M1 Garand with this tool. The Ripcords/Bore Snakes comes in a variety of calibers. Just make sure you purchase one of the proper length and caliber size.
