This timeless, compelling, and thought-provoking book on the Christian faith, now updated, includes two all-new chapters, a current list of recommended resources for further study, and a new discussion guide. In The Case for Faith , bestselling author, journalist, and former atheist Lee Strobel turns his investigative skills to the most persistent emotional objections to belief in God--the eight "heart barriers" to faith: "Since evil and suffering exist, a loving God cannot" "Since miracles contradict science, they cannot be true" "Evolution explains life, so God isn't needed" "God isn't worthy of worship if he kills innocent children" "It's offensive to claim Jesus is the only way to God" "A loving God would never torture people in hell" "Church history is littered with oppression and violence" "I still have doubts, so I can't be a Christian" This bestselling book is for those who may be feeling attracted to Jesus but who are faced with difficult questions standing squarely in their path. For Christians, it will deepen their convictions and give them fresh confidence in defending their faith to skeptical friends, or during the hardest of times, when they have to defend their faith to themselves in moments of doubt. Also available: The Case for Faith Spanish edition, kids' edition, and student edition. Plus, be sure to check out Lee Strobel's entire collection of Case for... books: The Case for Christ investigates the historical evidence for Jesus The Case for a Creator explores the scientific evidence for God The Case for Grace uncovers the "how" and "why" behind God's amazing grace . . . and more! Review: A real investigation into faith! - What a great book on faith. Investigates the why we should believe, in anything but mainly in Christ. Review: Totally Engaging interviews with top theologians to address those tough questions - I first bought this book on Audible and thought it was such a treasure that I wanted to be able to have a hard copy that I coukd reread and highlight. Strobel is a gifted writer/story teller/ investigative reporter. He interviews a fascinating number of brilliant theologists. Many of the questions that all of us struggle with from time to time, no matter how strong our faith, are addressed with various of these scholars in the most engaging format. I have also gotten this book as gifts for family.

A Firm Foundation for Your Christian Faith
Lee Strobel doesn't shy away from the hard questions and addresses the strong emotions regarding God and suffering. His treatment of Templeton is both compassionate and sincere. I'm still a conditionalist when it comes to Hell, but his interview with JP Moreland is still helpful. All the interviews are insightful. I suggest this book to anyone regardless of faith background.

brilliant. thought provoking. challenging
## *The Case for Faith* — Book Review The Case for Faith is a great book and a genuine attempt to engage with some of Christianity and theism’s strongest objections. It is thought-provoking, insightful, and, at times, downright challenging. While some of the objections are answered convincingly, others are at least diluted in their potency, making them feel less decisive than they initially appear. I particularly enjoyed hearing Charles Templeton’s story at the beginning of the book—his journey toward atheism and, despite everything, his genuine longing for and deep sense of loss over Jesus. That part was especially moving. Overall, this was a great read for anyone willing to seriously listen to some of the strongest arguments against their deepest beliefs. You don’t necessarily have to agree with every answer to benefit from the exercise of confronting difficult questions honestly.

Thought-provoking
Thorough, engaging, and interesting. The chapter on suffering was my favourite. I did not agree with everything, but it was a good handle of heavy topics.
