Used this on a mini slide hammer to remove the inner axle seals on my 2000 runner. Worked perfectly with no issues.

Excellent tool that fits in the cooling fin area of most brake rotors to yank them off of hubs if they're rusted or seized to the hub in order to be machined without damage. Saves time and effort, I use this with an OTC 10lb slide hammer and in 3 months of shop usage I've only broken one, but that was pulling a 1994 RV 3/4 ton wheel hub that had welded it's bearings. Definitely a very useful tool that I highly recommend!

This tool worked perfectly. The repair manual for a Toyota Matrix calls for using a special tool (09520-01010) with a slide hammer to remove the driver side half shaft. I initially tried to remove this half shaft with the prybar method recommended by a few folks in online videos. After squirreling around for the better part of a day with various pry bars, I finally gave up and searched online for the recommended tool. I came across this tool instead on Amazon and decided to give it a try. As soon as I had the tool, I threaded it on a 5lb slide hammer and went back to the repair. Five whacks later and the axle was out. I really wish I had bought this tool sooner.

I was skeptical about this thing, but it helped me remove the infamous Lexus is250 passenger side cv axle. I took off the outer cv joint leaving just the cv housing that is closest to the transmission. Then I removed the grease from inside and drilled a hole through it (need good drill bits), put a bolt through the cv housng and then used this hook to grab the bolt. Then coupled the hook with an OTC 10lb slide hammer and the axle came out in 4 pulls. I was amazed and started praising God, I was so happy. I had spent 10+ hours trying to get it out through other methods. So yeah, it's overpriced, but it did what I needed it to do to get me out of a bind.

Simple tool with great quality and design. Used for several pulls, small bearings and seals. Although the shaft seems quite solid, not sure I would use for heavy jobs. Right tool for the right job.

Chipped off the tip on the first CV axle job... The angle of the hook doesn't allow you to put it behind the CV joint on certain vehicles. A 90degree would've been perfect if the actual tool was quality enough to handle that beating. I'll be returning mine for an exchange unless I see a different manufacturer with a better design and sturdier tool

over all the tool will do the job. i actually built one because this one was taking forever to arrive. that being said i will use it some day, but i am a little worried i may break it just by dropping it to the ground. i gave 5 over all stars because it arrived, and is not broken. I will not buy another like this

long hook much more than expected very good for work to be done with it very happy

Perfect replacement for the lacklustre hook that came with the OTC stinger slide hammer kit I’ve got. The hook material is a little soft; but it’s still holding up well. It’s lilely meant To be a little softer as it’s better for it to take the wear/damage vs the component or part you are removing.

Seems to be well made. Happy with mu purchase.
