LIJIANI 18650 Power Bank Case Portable DIY Battery Pack

Really works great. My laptop went bad. But the battery pack was good and never had charging issue. I took the batteries out. It takes some careful tinkering and cutting. But I’m now able to use it in this device and power up a lot of things. I am very happy with the performance of this device.

This pack worked great for old laptop. Battery cells I had laying around this pack can charge via lightning Apple Port or USB-C. Display is easy to read. The Work light on the back is very bright very usable.

This case works great. Each battery has and indicator on the display to tell you if there is and issue with that battery. Its great for using with any spare 18650 batteries you might have. The quality it good, its hold 4 batteries and the power output and charging speed depends on the batteries you use. You can always change out a battery if there is an issue instead of having to discard the whole thing.

I have been using this for a few weeks now and find it very useful especially when charging 18650 cells, which is the primary reason i bought it. Although I have been in a pinch a couple of times now and it works as effortlessly as a portable battery bank for recharging my phone and other usb powered devices. My only dislike of it is that i am not 100% sure if it balance charges or not and after seeing some horror stories about imbalanced cells i have not been adventurous enough to put cells with different states of charge in it. But for what it is it works better than i would expect for the price.

I was hoping that this device would be able to be used as a sort of battery backup. In other words, be plugged in while powering a camera. Unfortunately, the circuit shuts down when you try this. Also, the charging circuit is pretty lame. It does not have a fast charge or power delivery charging ability that I could trigger with multiple USB charging plugs I had that are specifically designed to provide QC2, QC3 and PD output power. That means you will wait over four to eight hours for a 2,600 mAh battery to fully charge, another big dissapointment. the only good thing is that it does charge overnight and is nicely compact.

Works great for my repurposed laptop batteries that would not charge using laptop charger. Now I will not be trowing away good power because smart chargers are not that smart.

Does this work... Yes. Does it work well... No. First, this takes forever to charge. Also, it takes forever to charge a phone with it. Many times it even shuts off while charging the phone without a reason. I put my phone on it overnight thinking it works be charged. Started off fine but when I woke up it had stopped charging.

I have 4 5800 mAh 18650 batteries and took it on a walk while I had Pokemon Go open and the charging wasn't even enough to maintain the battery level. After about an hour my phone had dropped over 10% battery charge and used half the capacity of the power bank. The output showed 0.6A which is very low, might be good for slow charging but not enough to charge your phone while using which is the main reason I bought it. I use 18650 batteries for a lot of things so I thought it would be nice to have multiple devices that are compatible with those batteries. Pros: - Small and compact - 18650 batteries can be swapped out with fresh ones - Can be used with one battery if needed, or less than four Cons: - No USB-C output - Slow charging with low output at 0.6A - Charging doesn't seem efficient and loses a lot of charge quickly It needs better charging output, more efficient charging and a USB-C output for more versatility.
