LIQUITEX Basics Acrylic Paint, Dioxazine Purple, 118 ml Tube

I used this for my leavers shirt and was amazing! On clothes the colour does turn out like a dark purple, but you can fix this by diluting it with some water. The thickness and consistency is like an average acrylic paint. It adheres very easily to clothing and looks great. It also dries very quickly, took only a few hours to dry on my shirt.

Good quality paint, great pigment and a strong colour. I'm really enjoying using it.

I wanted some deep purple acrylic paint for a box I’m decorating. I decided to give this a try. It certainly achieved the depth of colour I was looking for and its decent quality for the price. If you check out my photos you will see the finish after 1,2and 3 coats. I needed it really deep hence using 3 coats and it is on wood so you always get some shading because of the wood grain. I’m really pleased with the finish. The paint is quite thick so I watered it down slightly with water and an acrylic medium. If you are using this for dot painting you would definitely need to thin it out. It covers well in its watered down form and dries really quickly. I did leave it overnight between coats because I’ve found I get a better finish but it is touch dry in 15 minutes. There’s only one downside really. Because it’s in a tube and I can’t remove the lid you can’t put back unused paint. Slightly annoying as I hate wasting paint. This is good value for money though and I would order this make again.
