Hallelujah! I am so thrilled with this purchase. I wish i had bought it months ago when i first found it. My original remote is old, i know. I can't recall how old the DVD player is now because its really very old but the player still works fine. The remote, however, started having button issues last year. Using all of buttons i actually needed was a workout. Pressing stop was the worst. it took every ounce of finger strength to press it enough for it to stop. i dreaded it every time. I cleaned it with rubbing alcohol but no improvement. From the moment right after i swapped batteries and started a dvd, i knew i made a great purchase. No programming, just press power and play. I think its better than the OEM remote. The value is amazing. Thank you!!

The original clicker that came with the Sony DVD player stopped working--had this Sony DVD Player for a little over ten years. I use it to play burned DVDs of downloaded movies. After my clicker died, I checked Amazn first. Lo and behold, they have it! I ordered it and it arrived next day. Works like new!

The remote worked right away! No programming needed! Just press power and off we go! Pretty amazing actually.

It's the exact thing I needed, the exact same remote for the DVD players that I have. My old one still worked, but hardly, due to the abuse it took-dropping on the hardwood floor accidentally several times, and the cats batting it around. Was pleased to find the exact one I needed and to not have to purchase a universal, which sometimes still doesn't work with any DVD player. Great price, too. I might buy one more, for an extra.

Works as it is advertised as a replacement remote contrl for Sony DVD players, even units that are over 10 years old! A good solid remote contrl that appears to have a solid build and compatability. We have purchased two of these units and have had no issues with pairing them with the DVD players we purchsed them for, and they're a "no brainer," very easy to use.
