We have one of these elevators but we need to replace the backboard and rim. We ordered one from Amazon that says it's out of stock. But it let us order it. If Spalding will send it that would be great. Anyone else have this issue getting the 54" one that has said out of stock for almost a year? - Spalding Basketball Hoop | Backboard and Rim Combo | Mounts to Roof, Pole or Wall. Any help would be greatly appreciated. We have a pole in the ground that needs a backboard and rim.

Trying to install a new 54" Spalding Acryllic backboard to the universal Spalding elevator. Missing 2 half inch self locking nuts that should attach to the 7 1/4" long bolts that I have remaining--according to the instructions there is also a 4" metal spacer that should fit between the 2 sets of crossbars connecting the elevator to the backboard. However, there is no room to fit the spacer between 2 inches of the mounting plates on the backboard. I would pickup a couple bolts, but something tells me the instructions are whack. See pictures where the included 7 in bolt is supposed to fit in the backboard and the elevator mount. If someone has an answer, I would love to hear it since support is gone for the weekend, and my kids are now upset they can't play ball yet!

We replaced our old backboard and needed an adjustable mount to be able to get the height to 10 feet. ( Our original one was adjustable also). Works great. Installation was a bit rough, but we were done in a couple of hours.

Purchased the SPALDING Universal Elevator Mount and the SPALDING 54" performance acrylic backboard and rim combo. Despite these products being compatible per SPALDING, the provided hardware to attach the backboard to the elevator mount was too large and the proper size was NOT PROVIDED. No problem, just contact SPALDING support, right? Was told "you need to send an email with pictures that we will then send to our Product Development Team. This could take 5-7 business days". I then waited 8 business days, still no answer from the Product Development Team. "They are still working on it." The customer service agents at SPALDING have clearly never actually constructed one of these hoops and are unable to answer even the simplest questions. Pair this with unprofessional customer service agents (intentionally hanging up on you when you get understandably frustrated) and you're in for a very poor experience. AVOID purchasing this product. The assembly instructions are severely lacking as is the customer service. SPALDING is aware of this and simply doesn't care.

Love the concept of this lift system, however you need to assemble the entire unit with the back board and then figure out where it needs to be to obtain the desired height. This left multiple scratches in our pole. Not a huge deal, however it would be so easy for Spaulding to tell customers where to place it. Also it states that it fits "most" Spaulding and Huffy backboards. Could you list those out in the description so the consumer is'nt left searching and calling customer service to determine what works and what does not?
