Good flavor - updated
I purchased the strawberry flavor based on other reviews (I am normally a chocolate person). The flavor is good, but it's not very strong. It does have a slightly chalky texture but it is still very palatable. I mixed mine with 12 oz. of unsweetened vanilla almond milk and would highly recommend trying this or something similar. I used one of the blender bottles with the whisk ball in the bottom and it mixed easily. I will purchase this again and recommend to anyone looking for a healthier protein drink. Update - I have tried the other flavors as well now, including the variety pack of single serving pouches. Chocolate is a favorite. The tropical smoothie was pretty good also. My least favorite flavor is the Berry Parfait. It was much to sweet for me. The coffee and cookies and cream flavors aren't bad but I did not taste the flavor I expected. They were both more of a very mild chocolate flavor than anything else.

Surprisingly pleased
I tried this shake mix for the first time on Feb 16...the strawberry flavor. I thought it was too watery and to artificially sweet. I decided to give it a chance. Although I did decid to try other brands as well. Happy Viking is the winner. I add a ripe banana, one scoop of oat powder, and two ice cubes. I mix with water. It mixes better than milk. I've been drinking this for breakfast for one week now, and in the evening I've been trying other brands for dinner, since lunch is my big meal. Happy Viking definitely tastes better, and after one week, mytastebuds have adapted tothe sweetness. I also use an app called Lose It! to track calories. I am down 2 lb in one week, and not feeling hungry at all. I recommend trying Happy Viking for a few days to a week before making a decision. They have a single serve pack with all eight flavors. You'll end up liking it. I did.

A very decent meal replacement
Look, let's just be honest here. Don't expect this to taste like a milkshake. It's a meal replacement drink. Is it 100 smooth? No. Is it overly flavorful? No. Is it sweet? Yes. When you buy protein powders you hope for the best and are oftentimes disappointed with some aspect of it. This has a lot of fruits and veggies so I wasn't expecting it to be really smooth. I can only speak for the chocolate and the strawberry but to me, they both taste great. I mix half unsweet almond milk, half water and a bit of ice. For the strawberry, I add 1 tablespoon of freeze dried strawberry powder to ramp up the flavor and cut the sweetness. For the chocolate I add 1 tablespoon of unsweet cocoa powder. This product keeps me FULL. (and for me, that's the goal) I can't say that about the very popular premixed protein drinks most people buy. This has now become my "go to" and I'm not disappointed.

Probably one of the most tasty treats!
I was given the awesome opportunity to try @drinkhappyviking superfood plant based smoothie. While I am not plant based, I do eat a diet that is heavy on the fruits and veggies, as we all should! I tend to get bored with my protein so this was a fun and tasty way to mix it up. Plant based or not this is probably one of the best tasting protein drinks I've ever had, it isn't too earthy or chalky tasting and has a smooth consistency. I blended it with almond milk as as well as egg whites (I said I wasn't plant based) and it was delicious in both. 20g of protein with 4g dietary fiber (I love my fiber) and so many other vitamins and minerals- calcium, biotin, Iron and so on. Also... NO BLOAT!!! Let's be real... Some shakes make ya feel a little "jolly" if you know what I mean. In any case, the strawberry was fantastic, no digestive issues, has a lot of great ingredients, and blends well with whatever you put it with. I'm a fan and will work this into my protein line up!

Awful New Ingredients
The new Strawberry formula is just awful. It is now gritty, thinner, and tastes artificial. I tried it a few times, and realized there has to be a change in ingredients. Seeing the most recent reviews confirms my suspicions. I would no longer recommend this to anyone.

Great taste... More Filling
Happy Viking is easily one of the best tasting protein powders I've tried. All the flavors taste very good. I really like the strawberry, but my favorite is the Greena Colada--like a yummy Pinacolada--wish it was available outside the variety pack in 24oz. Would agree there's a little chalkiness, but I mix with extra creamy oat milk and then I don't notice it at all. I drink a protein shake in the morning and it gives me a feeling of fullness that lasts until lunch.

My First Powdered Drink Mix
So I am looking around for drink mixes as part of my weight loss goals. Not looking to bulk up, but something to use with my blender cup. Seeing this, I took a chance it, and I came away impressed by it. Now what I do on my end is 12oz of Coconut Milk and 2 Scoops of this. I would recommend maybe adding a Banana or some type of Fruit Puree to add, but it's still easy to drink with 12oz of Water and 2 Scoops, but with water it is more runny, less of a smoothie consistency that I think people would want. The nothing wrong with the powder, but this my first one, so I don't know it this is for others... the powder clumps together easy that you have to break up at times... which is easy as well. There is a scoop as well that comes with the canister. Aside from that, when you finish drinking it, there is a bit of a chalky texture on the side of the glass, but nothing like a dishwasher run can't handle. I only wish there was more for less, but I get it. I like this product.
