Working well with Biogel ice pack.
I bought this to complete my "collection" of 4AllFamily Voyager. It works really well with Biogel ice pack to keep the insulin cold for at least 2 days. Without the biogel ice pack, it will maintain the room temperature when you store the in-use insulin. The only downside is it's pricey.

Best cold-travel system
He 4AllFamily system is the best way to transport cold-sensitive medication that I've found. I've taken it all around the US and for a six week trip through Europe. On a weeklong backpacking trip in Montana, we charged a battery off the sun, and ran the unit off the battery. Don't let diabetes slow you down! This tech helps. The cap was left behind on a trip to New York. I'm grateful that the company sells each component separately. 5 stars!

Great customer service
Additional option for traveling. I bought this cap as an extra and glad I did. I used it with the gel pack at the airport TSA was fine with it.

May be too warm
This particular item DOES NOT have a temperature display, nor does it have the aluminum heat sink tube that conducts heat away from the stored insulin. It seems to keep the interior at about 54 degrees F, which is out of the recommended range 36°F to 46°F. My other ALL4FAMILY lids DO have the temperature display and aluminum tube. I guess I'll keep it, it may be ok for dealing with the insulin that's already in use and needs to be around room temperature for 28 days.

Works But Lifespan is Only About a Year
This replacement works just like the original but unlike the original it only lasts about a year.

Yo viaje mucho y hay veces que tengo que agarrar 4 vuelos para llegar a mi destino (2 dias). Yo uso este mini refrigerador para transportar mis gotas de los ojos (aunque esta diseñado para insulina...a mi me sirve). Jamás he tenido problemas para pasar revisión en el avión. También lo uso cuando voy a acampar. Estoy muy contenta con mi compra ya que me ha facilitado la vida
