Wet-weather protection for demanding work.Portwest PW3 Hi-Vis Extreme Rain Trousers use waterproof construction with taped seams to prevent water penetration. The durable, breathable, windproof and water-resistant fabric is designed for challenging conditions, while the PFAS-free Texpel Splash Eco finish makes water bead away from the fabric surface.Easy to put on over boots.Full-length side zip leg openings provide straightforward access when changing quickly. An ergonomically shaped hem is made to fit over boots, and easy-grip pullers are attached to every zip. The high-cut padded back waistband helps keep the lower back warm, while a half-elasticated waist provides a secure and comfortable fit.Organised storage for site essentials.Six pockets provide ample carrying capacity, including two side zip pockets, two side zip cargo pockets, a large back zip pocket and a rule pocket. Wider belt loops accommodate wider belts, and contrast panels help protect the garment against dirt in high-contact areas.Visibility and weather standards.Heat-applied HiVisTex segmented reflective tape adds visibility. The trousers are certified to EN ISO 20471 Class 2, including after 25 washes, and to EN 343 Class 4:3 X. The waterproof performance is rated at 11,000MM water penetration, with breathability rated at MVP 50,000 G/M2/24HRS. The 40+ UPF rated fabric blocks 98% of UV rays.Knee pad compatibility and care.Bottom-loading knee pad pockets are certified to EN 14404: 2004 + A1: 2010 Type 2 Level 0 when used with S156 knee pads. Shell fabric is Portwest Extreme 100% polyester 300D Stretch Oxford with a stain-resistant finish and PU membrane. Wash at a maximum of 40C on a mild process; do not bleach, tumble dry, iron or dry clean; drip line dry. Maximum 25 washes.
