This isn't the longest lasting sand paper but it is the best for aggressively removing a wood surface to a very smooth surface while sucking up dust via an attached vacuum to a sander. 3M makes a non-mesh version that lasts much longer but it's the dust collection that I'm more concerned about and mesh is the way to go. The solid perforated version isn't as efficient for dust collection.

I changed to this and I can't believe how long it last. I use it on wood and epoxy.

Best longest lasting sanding I've found

I take wine barrels apart and repurpose the staves. I sand them with 80 grit paper on my belt sander then go to 120 grit on my 3M compressor driven sander. I have used other versions of the Cubitron discs, this was the first time I tried this version. It was "suggested" for me. This paper is very thin. It feels good coming out of the box. You can feel the grit on the disc. Once you start working with it the grit is gone in a moment. The staves are 36" long, approximately 3" wide. It takes one disc per stave. At the end of sanding the disc has no grit and feels like a tissue. I went through a box in a couple of days, and I'm glad they're gone. I would NEVER recommend these sanding discs to anyone.. I don't understand the results other people have had when I read the positive reviews.

Simply the best there is and you pay for it!

Does a great job and almost dust free. Works great on maple and oak.
