I am satisfied with these, they do the job. Not sure what additional features the more expensive ones offer, but these protect your legs just fine. They are made of quite heavy nylon (I think) that will easily stop any thorns or branches, the rubber straps seem rugged too. The Velcro is wide and tough enough that they are a bit difficult to remove, if anything. It's a little awkward trying to put them on, to get them lined up right before the Velcro starts to stick together, but I'm not sure how that can be avoided unless you used a totally different style of fastener. They have a little drawstring on the top with a metal(!) spring adjuster, but honestly they drawstring and foot straps seem redundant for most uses. They seem to work just fine without either. They are probably not exactly waterproof, but I have been out snowshoeing in snow, trudging though soaking wet snow and slush in the rain, pushing through brambles and branches, and my pants have always been totally dry and clean when I get home, which is a nice change for me. So they are essentially waterproof, I'm usually soaked from the knee down. They aren't bad looking either, as these things go. I'm not a fan of bright synthetics (red plaid is acceptable) but the olive drab green of these is a nice understated tone that is suitable for many uses and outfits, and the mud and grime won't stand out like it does on brighter materials. The logo on the side is unobtrusive as well.The only complaints I have are that I agree with a previous review in that it would be nice to have a way to secure the end of the strap so it isn't just sticking out. I keep thinking I see an untied shoe, and it wont always stay if I just tuck it inside. I have also had a few strands of material come unwoven from one of the edges of the strip of black fabric backing on the Velcro, and these immediately got caught in the Velcro. I pulled them out and then used a lighter to seal up the edge of the strip to hold the rest in place. It was only on on one of the two gaiters that this happened, and I don't think i was going to be an issue, it was just the outer few coming off the warp, and the stitching would have held the rest of it together even if it had kept coming apart. So I can recommend these to others.

These are exactly what I was looking for!I'm using these for hunting. My bib overalls are a bit long and the tend to drag and get all wet and/or dirty depending on the weather. I wanted something that would keep the pant legs held in place, protected and that allow easy on and off. These fill the bill perfectly! With the 2" Velcro running down the full front of the Gaiters, I can attach them to my hunting boots and clip them onto the bottom shoelace and attach about an inch of the Velcro opening. This allows me to lace up my boots and then close the remainder of the Velcro around my pant legs up to the top snap. Everything nice and snug!Once back from the woods, I simply un-do the Velcro down to the bottom inch and unlace my boots and take them off. The gaiters stay on the boots ready for the next outing!These are lightweight and seem to be very durable and the keep my pants dry and warm.My boots are size 10.5" so I ordered the extra-large size to accommodate my insulated bib overall pants.I highly recommend these.

I’m over 50 years old and been an outdoorsman my entire life. I’ve used all kinds of gaiters in the past and these are by far the easiest to get on and off, keep elements, sage brush stickers even snow out with no problem. So comfortable I forget I’m wearing them.The only downside is that these aren’t of the quality that make them “lifetime use” or even “ten year use” for instance the draw bungee at the top broke after less that a dozen uses and no abuse or user error. I’m still going to buy another pair—for the money they’re an ok value and great while they’re working. The company sells more expensive gaiters and I’m going to try those to see if there is a quality improvement that makes the price make sense because I wouldn’t mind a lifetime supply of these. Because when they’re working they work great.

Used these in Rwanda trekking for mountain gorillas - easy on and off, no noise, did a great job keeping the ants out, and pants clean!

Great for keeping snow out of your boots and off legs when snowblowing. Waterproof as far as I can tell. Good fit. Easy to put on.

Size up , they fit snug but they do save your legs ! Used them for a fall and winter deer hunt and they save your pants from the early morning dew . We used them every day. They also keep the mud off you and keep you from getting pokes from twigs

Shiny out if the package. Rub some mud on it or something to take the sheen off if you plan to hunt with them!Seems like decent material, will update after I've hunted them for a season.

I used these to hike Mount St. Helens, and they worked incredibly well. Half the climb is through deep, sandlike volcanic sediment sometimes up to your shins. When I took my shoes off, not a single pebble or fleck of dust came out. They may not be the most fashionable, but they worked like a dream.

Looked at lots of higher end gaiters and found none to accomodate my larger calves. But these are ideal and goretex too. Easy to put on and feel really comfortable.

Seems good quality but they were very large, and the strap that goes under the foot is was too long.

Glad I bought this garter for the winter tour, we used on few occurs for snow trekking, snow mobile and general walking when snow gets deep. It is secure, water proof well, and durable. On one occasion when my pants got little wet, but likely due to my mistake when putting on. Definitely bring along for future trips.

I recently received my new gaiters and was impressed with the quality and fit. The durable pouch is a nice touch.Wearing the gaiters indoors to break in my new boots was a smart move. I immediately noticed the added warmth to my calves. The fit is perfect, and the Velcro closures make them easy to put on and take off.Overall, I’m very satisfied with this purchase. One note to hunters - for those doing close range hunting, bow etc, gaiters are not all that quiet. This wasn't a concern to me.
