Nutramax Dasuquin Joint Health Supplement for Cats - With Glucosamine, Chondroitin, ASU, Boswellia Serrata Extract, Green Tea Extract, and Omega-3, 84 Soft Chews

I’m one bag in and I already see a difference. My 13 year old petite cat has been having some mobility issues over the last couple years. She can’t jump as high on the bed or couch anymore and I had to get her stairs to get on the bed, which she uses every time now. She’s also had much drier skin and more dander that I have to maintain regularly. 3 weeks into these treats, her coat is softer and her skin is less flaky. I’ve noticed she has been stretching her back legs more. And she’s a little more playful! She’s starting to play with my roommates cat who she’s notoriously hated ever since she moved in lol. She’s still struggling a little bit to jump on things (which she couldn’t jump that high to begin with because she’s small and a little chunky), but I do think she’s in less pain and less stiff. The alternative was monthly shots at the vet which is $90 a shot. Will continue to get these and hopefully see more benefits with more time.

I have an ancient cat named Gus, and I noticed that he was getting a little hesitant in his movements. It occurred to me that he might be feeling his age in his joints, so I started feeding him this supplement. Don't you know that after a few weeks, he began racing up and down stairs as if he were in his youth! It has made a very big difference in his comfort and appetite for living. He continues to thrive in his increasing old age, and anything that makes him comfortable makes me feel like I'M giving this darling old street cat his best old age ever, and by George, he is WORTH IT!

I got this supplement for my elderly cat after looking a while. This was the one that fit the best to the criteria given by the vet. While the reviews made me a bit hesitant, I was glad I went with this one. The supplement tablets are not as big as I initially thought they might be; I only need to break them into two pieces for my cat to swallow. They're also soft chew, so my cat is able to down them easily. My cat loves the taste of them and now begs to have them daily. More importantly, by week three, we're already seeing improvements in my cat's condition. Before taking this supplement, my cat was limping around more and more due to joint stiffness. However, by week three, she was starting to become more mobile and was limping less. By week four, she was starting to zoom around some. There have been no side effects that we can see. We're at week five now, and my cat is for the most part behaving like her younger self. I'm thankful to this product for helping my cat regain some of her quality of life.

My vet recommended these and I wasn't quite sold initially, so I wanted to wait a while before reviewing them. This is our second bag of them, and I have seen my ancient (20 years old) cat much more active than he was before. I'll be honest, he didn't want to eat them - one sniff and he was gone - so we had to. be creative. We mix them up with some water then a spoonful of soft cat food. Initially he ate around these kibbles so we had to add some water to soften them up and mix them up with the soft food. It takes 3-4 minutes but now he eats everything. It took a few weeks to start seeing a difference in his activity - he hasn't had "the zoomies" in years until just last week. So I would say they are helping him with the pain! The only reason they lost a star is flavor (see above) and I feel they are very expensive for how much you get. But they work, so they gained another star back! I WILL continue to buy these, but I sure wish they would change up the recipe.

A great product, but my picky cats wouldn’t touch them

Unfortunately my cats do not like these. They will sometimes eat them if they have not been fed in a while and are very hungry, but even that trick seems to be fading. So I never got through the initial trial to see if they work. Also these chews are large for most cats unless you have a 20-pound cat. Cats have to bite into them and break them up, which means crumbs go flying and some of the medication is missed. And they are not cat-taste-attractive. Good idea, but probably for most cats these are a miss. The capsules are apparently the way to go. I do think the supplement mix is the best you can find for what is included and quality. They just need to re-formulate these chews, they are not a winner.

Our cat Doomer is 10 or 12 years old. He’s indoor, outdoor. I noticed when it’s the colder months he was having harder time sitting down fully, he also moved slower and didn’t enjoy going outside very often anymore - taking cat naps on our bed all day long. I think it was arthritis. My wife bought these chews and I am now currently writing this review because it’s 11:40 pm and it’s 40 degrees out, and our cat won’t come back inside he’s acting like it’s summer ( his favorite season ), and he moves so fast again. he’s hard to catch. I feel like these chews must also have an energy element because he’s on the move a lot now. It’s been like 10 days of use. He’s more affectionate, happier, and honestly he’s acting like we took 5 years off his age; he’s back at his old tricks and I am over it. Officially tomorrow lol he is getting a reduction in the amount of chews. He can be active but not this active. These work great! Definitely give them a try. And if your cat acts a fool like ours reduce consumption.

I have an older cat with some arthritis. I used Dasuquin for dogs when I had a dog, so I thought I would try the cat ones for my kitty. She loves them. I do have to cut them in half for her, but she has also lost a fair number of her teeth. They're soft enough for her to chew, she eats them like a favorite cat treat, and she will eat them without any issue. We have not completed the 6 week loading dose trial yet, so I am not sure if they're helping with her arthritis yet or not. But she does still sort of jump up on the bed/pull herself up. I am very happy with this product.

I got very lucky because these treats are not refundable. My cat loves these, I cut them in half to make them easier to chew. She's 18 with severe osteoarthritis in her limbs and spine. After one week, she has stopped limping and is grooming herself more. I don't think that she'll go back to jumping on the couch, but her quality of life has certainly improved.

My cat started to detect the taste of the capsules mixed in the food, so these were the next step and have worked out. Sometimes she eats it as a whole, and other times, we quarter it and put it in her canned food. Does the trick

I notice a big difference in my cat ability to lay down with ease and have only been 4 weeks giving them.

Even though this product arrived in an ok amount of time, the soft chews are not as soft as my cat is used to or likes.
