My brain is very small, and I did not think to take before and after pictures of my hair that would allow for adequate comparison. Whoopsies! However, I've been in the hair dye, bleach, and colouring game for quite some time. I work in a freezer and a fridge all day at my job, and the between the damage from the elements my hair endures daily and my chronic obsession with tweaking my hair every so often, my hair is decently damaged. I've tried just about anything and everything with varying results and varying durations with which they are successful. For some reason, I'd never tried something like this before; I suppose, I never thought to look for something to add to a bleaching/colour lifting treatment. I'd only ever seen treatments for before and/or after treatments. Personally, I'd never see too much of a difference either way unless I spent a month or so specifically planning my new hair ordeal, which rarely ever happens. The container is much smaller than you might think. The syringe and conditioner can both fit within my hand. This might sound like a downside, considering this is a decent chunk of money for something that barely occupies a 2 in x 2 in area on your counter, but it's not! I have hair that's a bit longer than my shoulders, wavy, and just straight up rude sometimes. 4 fl ml was more than adequate with the amount of treatment I needed to saturate my hair. It instructed to add 3 fl ml, but because I needed about 20 grams more of my treatment, so I added 1 fl ml for good measure. There is still PLENTY in the container. I could easily get about 6 more uses out of it, I sincerely believe. I didn't experience any leaking or any issues with this product upon arrival or after use. While my hair is still damaged (I wasn't expecting a miracle out of this, of course, but it's pretty darn close), this did a fantastic job at improving the baseline of my hair overall. My hair doesn't feel dry, it is perfectly shiny, exceptionally soft, manageable, and while I was washing out my treatment, I found I didn't have nearly as much breakage or shedding as I usually expect after treating my hair. it's viscous, but in the way that, say, tomato soup is. I didn't find that it had a bad/noticable smell, it didn't stain anything I accidentally dropped it on (I have very shaky hands, so I spill things fairly often haha), and it was easy to clean up. :) I have gotten many compliments from my employees on how much glossier, vibrant, and healthier my hair looks even after just one use! I'm quite surprised and impressed by this product. All around, easy to work with, easy to understand the directions, easy to apply -- easy, easy, easy! I have no complaints whatsoever, honestly. In fact, I will be purchasing this in the future from now on.

I literally just ordered this product. It came super fast. I noticed a few folks stating they had bottles that came to them lower than the ounces than what the bottle states it is. These reviews did not have any indication they actually measured on a scale regarding their complaints. I do have a very expensive high end scale that can measure tiny amounts. I measured this bottle (the liquid does not reach the top of the bottle). The measured amount was 135 GRAMS! So that means, all of these people whining about not getting the right amount, are under estimating what they are getting based on the liquid not being at the top of the bottle. If the liquid was at the top of the bottle (the bottle completely full) it would probably measure 175 grams or possible 200 or more grams of weight. Yes I am aware we need to subtract the weight of the bottle HOWEVER, the bottle is super light OK? LOL. The point here is this bottle is exactly WELL ABOVE the weight it is advertised. It is supposed to be 120 GRAMS of weight. You actually get far more for free than you should. I plan on using this right now on virgin black hair i am going to bleach that is 30 inches long for an entire head of hair (whole head). I will report back on the results but I do not anticipate anything but good results on this reliable product. I highly recommend this vendor. They are a good vendor and worthy of buying from. They aren't even banking on the fact their product has far more in the bottle than it should. So in my opinion, this is going to be a good risk as far as a buy goes. I'll keep you all updated on the results of my progress re: using this product with the instructions I was provided in the packaging. -Miss C UPDATE: I used this product DURING the bleaching of the virgin black hair. The hair is in perfect shape. I recommend this product if you are going to bleach your hair. Again, use this product IN THE BLEACH & mixed INTO the developer you are adding to the bowl. With all of these ingredients together IN THE BOWL you should have: bleach, this product & the developer (of whatever strength). Then, mix them as thoroughly as possible. Do this in an open area with a lot of ventilation. A tip: Use a handkerchief to cover half of your face from the nose on down. Use goggles if you can find any or buy them for your eyes in the small chance dry bleach poofs up from the bowl into your face. Do not mix everything with a fan over your head so the unmixed bleach doesn't fly into your lungs, eyes, face, body, surroundings. After you mix the concoction and have the majority of the dry bleach covered with the liquid formula then turn on that fan as fast as possible. The small amount of money it costs to buy eye goggles to save your eyes is worth it. I would test out a strip of hair with these toners (underneath all of your hair) to see what color suits you best. Sacrificing a small area of hair that will be hidden rather than the entire head might not be a bad risk AND it will let you know what you want formula wise from that point forward on re: what kind of toners you want to make your hair the exact brown color you are seeking, etc. if you are going to dye your hair brown AFTER you bleach it, I recommend holding off on the toners until AFTER you dye the hair if you can.

My natural hair color is light brown/dark blonde & I have been lightening it at home for years in order to get the very light base required to get pastel colors I am after (currently lilac). I have tried numerous products and techniques (Olaplex, coconut oil, shampoo cap, etc.) to protect my hair during the bleaching process, but this is the first product I am very satisfied with because it really does seem to work. I used 40 vol developer (I usually use 20 or 30 vol) and my hair felt better after processing than it usually does. I am very careful not to use products with any silicones that will disguise the true state of my hair, and my hair has continued to feel strong and healthy even though I am swimming 4-6 days per week in chlorinated pool. I wasn't sure about ordering because of other reviews showing bottles that are less than full, but the label promises 120 ml, and I'm sure that's what the company delivered because I weighed it out. It doesn't require much (I think I used 7.5 ml to 2 oz of powder), so the bottle I ordered should last me a long time. Based on my results, the price was incredibly reasonable. Not sure how it will work for everyone as there are many different hair types, but I am sold.

The product was very easy to use and a little went a long way, however after using the product while doing a bleach treatment, my hair still damaged, the color did not lift entirely, Will need to complete the process again soon, which never happened before. Did a sample test on my hair prior to this. Also maybe this product just wasn't compatible with my hair and it cold be with the next person...Not a bad products just didn't work for me.

This hair product is amazing! It worked really well on my hair—left it feeling soft, manageable, and healthy. The quality is top-notch, especially for the price, which is very reasonable. Plus, it smells so good! I’ve tried a lot of products, but this one stands out. Highly recommend! It’s like training wheels for the process.

I'm giving it 2☆ because I haven't try it yet, the container I received has a crusty residue on the rim so I asked for a replacement. Definitely the container is not adequate for the product inside. UPDATE--》 This thing is amazing! Already bleached my hair a third time to remove black hair dye and my hair is still pretty much intact. I did used it with the toner and applied olaplex #3 after each decoloration. My only complaint is the container, is MESSY and difficult to work with!!

I’ve bleached my natural hair for a long time and this was the first time I saw such a noticeable difference. Even my Hair Braider noticed a difference in my hair. I’ll use it every time. I bleach my hair and moving forward. I’ll highly recommend this product for sure!!!

It does the job it says and its far less expensive than Olaplex.

I was dubious about buying this product because I'd never heard of it before, but the reviews were quite good. I've used olaplex in the past which was very good, so I thought I'd give this one a whirl. I measured 25g of bleaching powder with 25 mls of developer, I used volume 30 developer. I used a good bleaching powder that lifts 9 levels. I have dark blonde roots with warm undertones. I then added 4mls of the vivid hair protector and left it on my hair for 55 mins till it developed into a nice icey white colour.. ( a little longer than my usual 45 mins to reach my desired shade) Then I toned it and used a moisturising hair mask...(sulphate and paraben free) I regularly bleach my hair and to be honest it always sheds afterwards unless I use molecular bond repair treatments and keep it well hydrated with a decent hair mask. However, this time there was no shedding and my hair is soft and feels a lot healthier than if I hadn't used this hair protector. I think it's really amazing stuff. You might have to tinker about with the measurements and developing time but that is no different from using olaplex to be fair. It's also an affordable price which will last a while.

I can't recommend this hair protector enough!. I have treated my hair horribly for the last 20 years! Bleaching woth home kits and then dyeing it a bright colour Radlett my hair badly broken and damaged. Using this serum has blown my mind, i added the right amount to my bleach kit after about half an hour of messing about with turning American measurements into u.k.'s then measuring the correct amount for the volume of my bleach (which really scrambled my brain), but im so glad I did because my hair is in better condition now after bleaching with this product than its ever been!. Its strong, i used to see lots of hair fall out after the bleaching and iv literally had zero!. This amazing hair colour protector is now gong to be used at every single hair colour treatment from now on. So glad I gave this a go! I highly recommend it 👌🏻.

I'm actually really pleased with this. I was looking for an Olaplex/chromaplex alternative and came across this. I was a bit hesitant as it's not a brand I recognise but I'm glad I took the chance on it. I was bleaching out black box dye, anyone who knows anything about hair knows what a terrible idea that is and technically I shouldn't have hair left. However, when used correctly it genuinely reduced the damage from 2 rounds of bleach and a bleach bath. It comes with a measuring syringe and the dosage depends on how much lightening product you're using so if you're a "chuck it in and see what happens" person you'll have to learn to measure your powder and developer! It does marginally slow down the lightening effect of the bleach, but I wasn't expecting the best lift with the box dye anyway. You might have to repeat the process but my armpit length hair is still intact and in shockingly good condition for just being abused by an idiot. Again. Really good buy and a fraction of the cost of the big brands. Super impressed and will definitely continue to use it for future ridiculous hair plans.
