I purchased this Sunvie outdoor color changing spotlight and I am very pleased. This landscape spotlight has transformed an area of my landscape that i wanted to highlight into a stunning display of color. I use these to highlite my pool with the blue light setting. I love the fact that it keeps the blue setting when it comes on at night.

The lights themselves are fantastic, for our purpose the rf remote is terrible. The light output, saturation and build quality is fantastic. We are very happy. I like the all metal construction, bolt on metal spike and hooded fixture. The lights themselves are super solid. I did manage to bend the bracket while pushing it into the ground with the spike, slightly thicker bracket metal would be great or some sort of bead rolled into it for strength. The biggest down side for my use is the remote. It uses rf rather than ir. The upside is the range is significantly longer. The downside is that when you want to control individual lights it's practically impossible. I had to take individual lights from the front yard to the back yard, cover them with objects and aim towards the ground before changing the color and still half the time it would change the color of all the lights on the front yard. I would love an ir version of the light. We still plan on ordering more. Also the lights spent a month outside in October in Ohio and worked great. Out of 8 lights we have one that died and would love a replacement for it.

1 of the 4 lights didn’t work straight out of the box. I contacted the seller, they replied within a day and sent me 2 new ones to replace the broken one. They work great, easy to set up and work.

Love how they look in the front of the house. However, one of them started to get finicky after a few months and now it doesn’t come on. There was a period of a couple months where I couldn’t mess with it due to an in ground yellow jacket. I’ve messed with it and occasionally it will come on, but quits after one night. I think it has a short in the wire. Love the color options it comes with, just hate that one quit after a few months.

Loved my first two. Loved that the remote worked from anywhere in the house or around the yard. Really strong. They were out in the rain three different nights and were fine. So I got 4 more. Didn’t think it through, as the remote is so strong that you can’t change colors on one without changing all 6. I’m guessing the range is about 50’. So if they are farther apart than that they might work with diff colors. I’ll update this in a few weeks if it works out differently. So they will work in red for Halloween. But not as planned for red and green for Christmas. Update I now have 24 of these. Newer orders come with a short range remote so you can walk up to each light and change the color without messing up the others. This changes the review to 5 stars!!

I did a good deal of research before ordering this kit along with extra lights for my installation and am disappointed that I did not heed the advice of those who mentioned the poor light output and bracket quality. The cast aluminum spike that goes into the ground is fine; the problem is the ridiculously flimsy bracket that attaches to it and the light itself. I figured I would just be careful during the install and I would be fine, however I did not consider that something as simple as a falling palm frond could completely flatten the bracket, not to mention them getting trampled by the landscapers and irrigation techs in my community. It's only been a couple of months and I've needed to straighten out almost all of them at least once. It won't be long before they start breaking from metal fatigue and I'll be SOL. Another issue is the large bezel over the glass lens starts holding water when you direct the light upwards such as to illuminate a tree. A light that is pointed nearly straight up can collect almost 3/8" of water. The water collects and holds dirt which makes mud which subsequently bakes onto the lens when the light it on. This means I need to go around and scrape lenses clean at least weekly. A better design that allowed the lens to drain/self clean would eliminate this. Finally, they are not as bright at advertised. A 12-watt LED should produce the same amount of light as a 75-watt incandescent bulb. I don't have a calibrated lumen meter handy, however even on their highest setting I GENEROUSLY estimate these are putting out about 40-watt incandescent equivalent. EDIT: I pulled a lamp and determined it drew 18.33 milliamps at 123 volts. That translates to 2.25 watts, not 12 watts as-advertised. A 2.25 watt LED is equivalent to a 20-watt incandescent bulb. This is a fairly brazen misrepresentation of what this product does. The transformer seems well made and there are no issues with flickering, but the lights themselves are simply not worth the price of admission. I'm terribly disappointed with this product but beyond the return date. <sigh>

Achat effectué en 2022. Sunvie lot de 2 spots d’extérieur. La première lampe n’a duré que quelques semaines, juste assez pour ne pas pouvoir la retourner. La deuxième ne fonctionne plus non plus après avoir fonctionné l’été dernier. Le problème est un manque d’étanchéité: l’eau s’infiltre dans la lampe et ne peut en ressortir. Le circuit imprimé brûle même s’il est enveloppé dans un ruban adhésif. Ce produit n’est pas réparable. Quel beau déchet!
