How do u get the barrel open???????

I took an X-Acto knife, but you could probably use a thin blade to carefully go around the seem between the lid and the barrel. Then I used a small pick, you might be able to try a bent staple(bent into a small “J” shape. I slid it through the thickest gap and gently pulled up the lid. It may have been stuck from swelling or the stain not being dry when they assembled it. I lightly sanded the edge of the lid and inside the barrel to prevent it from happening again. But yeah mine was also stuck on real tight! Hope this helps anyone else who doesn’t want to go thru the return process and hopefully the manufacture fixes this issue!

Charming gift

Excellent gift for the gun enthusiast that also likes liquor. Very unique and will sure to stand out among men. The small wood barrel is made of pine and smells wonderful. The lid on the barrel is removable, but ours stuck a little to be careful removing so it won't break. I place the whole barrel with bullets in freezer.

Fun gift

The "bullets" are great as is the "cartilage" that holds them. My son thought they were a fun gift. The wooden barrel is thin wood and he broke the top pull ring immediately because the top would not come off. He ended up having to pry the wooden lid off to get to the items inside.

Ok piece once you make some adjustments

The wooden barrel is quite dry and will most like crack and split very soon. I suggest oiling it with some kind of wood oil. The lid fits so tightly that I was afraid the little pull tab was going to rip off. I got the lid off by turning it upside down and banging the bottom. Then used sandpaper to reduce the lid size a little to make it usable.
