PREPPERS!!! OLD-FOLKS!!! GRANDPARENTS!!!
An absolute breeze to set-up and the picture is great. I’m 64 and a little reluctant to open the front door at night. I have mine sitting just outside the front door. Day or night (comes with color night vision) I can see VERY clearly who might be out there. AND if I/you still don’t wanna open the door, I/you can talk to the “visitor(s)” on the built-in intercom! The screen battery lasts about 15hrs when new, dwindles down to about 12hrs/recharge as time goes on. It’s not RATED for weather exposure, but I’ve had mine outside for more than a year (including all winter) and it works fine. The picture gets bad on really humid days but it’s self-healing. Given the price and performance, ease of set-up and use, this is a no-brainer now or after SHTF!

Clear Screen, Easy to Use, and Gives Me Peace of Mind
As a mom, I really appreciate how easy this baby monitor is to use. The screen is very clear and smooth, so I can see my baby well both during the day and at night. It gives me a lot of peace of mind to be able to check on my little one and see everything clearly. One of my favorite features is how easy it is to control the camera. I can quickly pan, tilt, and zoom without any trouble, which makes it simple to keep an eye on my baby as they move around the crib. The controls feel smooth and straightforward, and that matters a lot when you are tired and just want something that works.

Changed our lives!
Our 3 yo because insanely afraid of the camera she had in her room since birth about a year ago (camera was not wifi so it couldn't have been any one making her scared) She would scream in pure terror some nights, like inconsolable crying, and hide under her covers to fall asleep. At that point it would have been abusive to leave it in her room. However, I did not want to (and am still not ready) give up the ability to see and hear her at night. Our bedrooms are on another level of the house than the main living space and we sometimes like to sit on the patio at night after shes gone to bed. I thought there has to be a camera that does not look like a camera, I was thinking along the lines of a nanny cam. I had previously has a Zooby which I used in my car but honestly hated it.. The camera and the battery were completely unreliable and either could go out at anytime defeating its entire purpose. In order to keep it running continuously I had to start my car and then turn on the camera, with a baby carrier in my hands ( Imagine sitting in the drivers seat with your foot on the break while hanging the infant carrier from the crook of my arm precariously out the door at the same time) or by putting the baby in the rear passenger side, walking back to the drivers door to start the car and then back to the rear passanger to turn on the camera and then back to the drivers side to actually get in. If you did not take these steps the camera would just turn off about 2 min in to your trip, causing you to have to pull over to fix it. I stopped using it out of disgust about 6-8 months prior to the start of my investigation on a new camera for her bedroom so I knew I had no interest what so ever (remember I litterally had one in my possession at that time) in anything Zooby. I did a search on Amazon but perhaps the key words I was using were not right and came up with nothing. I of course tried Google, common monitor brand websites, and asked friends, friends of friends and nothing. I did find out by asking around that I was not alone. In the say 10 woman I asked I found 2 others struggling with the same exact issue at bedtime. All 3 of us had children similar in age about a 6 month difference each way. For all 3 kids it had started around the second birthday. 3 different brands of camera, one was wifi enabled, the other two were not. Two boys , one girl. They had also searched and come up with nothing. Finally I went to reddit and was shocked I found so many threads by other moms that had the same exact issue. I scrolled through the comments and then I saw it.. some complete angel of a mother had put the Amazon link to this camera in her thread. I was so excited. I would have never once thought to look to LeapFrog for a baby camera. Learning toys, absolutely but not a camera. Not only was it the cutest camera I had ever seen but it also came with a monitor! I detest having to use my phone to look at the baby. I also will not use a smart monitor because im not comfortable with the potential risks of it being hacked. So this camera checked every single box. I had it by the next afternoon. We let our daughter take the old camera to the garbage can and then gave her the bird, she has affectionately named him "baby bird" and is enamored with him. She tells us how baby bird makes sure shes safe and they are friends. We also found it plays both lullaby music and white noise (both on a timer you can set) so she now insists we put on "birds music" at bedtime because she says it "helps her relaxin". The distance we get is amazing! I have never lost signal on it once and it has a 360 rotation for view of the whole room (helpful tip though, may not be best to rotate the birds head 360 degrees when your kids awake). We absolutely adore this camera. She went from waking up from a dead sleep in the middle of the night screaming in terror to humming along to the music softly while she falls asleep. I know saying it has changed our lives seems dramatic but it is an accurate statement. The only complaint I really have about it was that it was so hard to find. @leapfrog you should really be promoting and making more items like this one, maybe in other animals. Our daughter is enamored with birds so this is perfect for us but you could do dinosaurs, cars etc geared and promoted for the toddler moms ou there who's kids needs change around this age. I personally struggle to find things for her age group because the 2-3 year olds get lumped in with either babies or toddlers but 2-3 is its own age group and should 100% be considered as such by any company producing items for children and trust me when I say every parent with a child in this age group is struggling to find a product that will work for thier kids irrational fear or baffling habit. Alot of us have children who may have outgrown baby items you would never put on a list of things that you would think would need replacing. If you could add a vacuum cleaner shes not scared of to the line that would be super awesome. So .. 50 out of 10 for me. Amazing product would buy multiple if say other matching ones were available because of how much it has helped us.

Best bang for your buck!
I don’t normally write reviews so quickly after purchasing but the quality of this camera compared to others I’ve had, this camera is amazing! I’ve had 3 kids so I’m well versed in the baby monitor department. I always look for distance range, picture quality, accuracy, and sensitivity. Being that this monitor has motion detection, sound detection, and temp warnings is awesome! I love that you can change the sensitivity or completely shut it off is a bonus. My daughter has a sound machine in her room so I shut off the sound detection but kept the motion. I will say the LCD auto-off is kind of picky. I think the sound machine sets it off. The reception does lag by maybe a second max but for the quality of the image I’ll take it! The speaker on the camera is clear and loud and I LOVE that it has a little nightlight. It even came with the wall mount. Like, cmon!? Amazing. As you can see in the pictures, the night mode is awesome! Picks up my daughter well and even gets the detail of her blanket? Far better than majority competitors if you’re specifically looking at baby monitors. All in all this camera is amazing for the price! I’ll keep updated on the longevity. But I’m honestly impressed. Updating August 3, 3023: We’re over a year in and it still works like a beaut! No picture lagging aside from the minor one second I spoke of before, the image is still just as bright and crisp, the speaker still works great, and the panning option is amazing now that my daughter is almost 2 and roaming around. All in all, I’m so happy I went with this monitor. Highly.. HIGHLY recommend to parents who need to keep an eye on the little babes :)

Almost perfect
Wow. I’m impressed. The first time I have had all my boxes checked, well all but one. To start, the wide angle view is perfect. Didn’t even need the mounts because table top still allows me to see the full span of all the rooms we have them in. The picture is very good, even in night mode. I purchased both the 5in/2 cam set and the 7in one. Both look fantastic. The sound is ok, not amazing but honestly my kids are so loud I’m not complaining lol. I will never use the sounds on here, nor the light as you have to set a timer each time or manually operate as opposed to auto on/off but it is there. This is the first monitor set where the temperature is actually accurate. I’ve had lots and they all read 5-10 degrees warmer. So I appreciate being able to see how warm/cool the room is. The monitors paired the moment I powered them on so I didn’t need to set any of them up. I would definitely recommend these to parents. The not so great: To me it makes zero sense to have a 7in screen and NOT be able to use multiple cameras- this is the only box unchecked- having to buy multiple units to have multiple views. It will never make sense to me that they only allow multi cams on a much smaller screen. Epic fail and missed opportunity. The battery indicator needs an actual percentage. I stopped charging mine when the bars were full and stable and minutes later after unplugging it shows one bar. So if all bars full isn’t fully charged, a percentage would have been nice. Silly oversight given all the other advanced features. BY THE WAY: Make sure you have been sent a NEW device if that’s what you ordered. It comes sealed with a clear sticker and NOT covered in goop, like the first one I ordered Amazon tried to play off as new😒

Doesn't last
I loved this monitor until the parent unit took a crap. Lasted ALMOST 2 years and the warranty is only for 1 year. I also can't buy a separate parent unit. Wouldn't recommend.

Pretty good!
We got it as a vacation monitor that doesn’t rely on internet when my toddler transitioned to big girl bed so we could keep an eye on her. Setup was practically nonexistent it was that easy. Sound and picture quality was very good and the picture even in night mode was still good. It was easy to navigate and control and it even had music you could play. All in all I’m pretty happy with it and it gives me peace of mind while way from home for a few days.

Love it! Except the battery life
This has been a 5 star monitor besides the battery life. The picture is great & I love how large the display is. After 16 months of use, I noticed it would never fully charged. My baby optics monitor did the same thing so I wasn’t too concerned, as I was easily able to order a cheap replacement battery & switch it out on the baby optics one. I was able to finally figure out how to switch out the battery on this one, but it was a 45 minute ordeal using a LEGO pry tool, hair dryer, floss, old credit card, and a possible case of carpel tunnel. Not only was it a pain to open the monitor, but the battery was attached to the display with a full sheet of the stickiest foam adhesive. Thankfully I didn’t destroy the display & the monitor works good as new now…until the next time I have to switch it out.

Nowhere near sensitive enough
The volume is super quiet and the mic isn't very sensitive. I can hear the baby crying from downstairs before the monitor decides to show anything. Currently returning for a refund. Can also only hear the monitor if there is no other noise around whatsoever. If you have a quiet TV on, you'd never hear this

DON'T BUY IF BABY'S ROOM IS FAR ENOUGH AWAY THAT YOU CAN'T EASILY HEAR THEIR CRIES
(Wife posting under husband's account.) We live in a three-floor home and bedrooms are upstairs while my office is downstairs. Last night, I was doing some work after the little ones had gone to bed. Baby had already gotten up once and I helped her settle again. I returned to doing work and a little bit later, I thought I heard a thud. Checked the monitor and baby seemed fine. Then I heard some faint crying. Thought it was the neighbour's baby because, hey, baby still seemed fine on the monitor. My gut told me to check anyway, so once I got to the main floor of our home, I could hear my baby's cries and I ran upstairs to see what was going on - she had fallen off the bed and had crawled to the bedroom door looking for me. Check the photos (you'll see in one photo, she's sitting there crying while she appears to still be asleep in the monitor - it's a bit hard to see, I snapped the photo as quickly as possible so I could return to comforting her). I had the volume turned on and could hear some faint white noise (which is normal), so no way of knowing that the picture actually froze. I am LIVID as we've only had this monitor for around 10 months and something really terrible could've happened. We're extremely lucky that our baby seemed okay after a while, just shaken up and maybe had a little bump on her head, but others may not be so lucky. If you're always close enough to your baby's room anyway, then it's not a horrible monitor. Picture quality is great in the day but if there's zero light in the room, night vision does not exist (we always had to use a small lamp, but if that turned off, you couldn't see anything). There's a 1-2 second delay but that wasn't a huge issue. The kickstand is terribly flimsy and has broken off already. Battery seemed okay before, lasting a few hours, but doesn't seem to hold a full charge anymore after 10 months.

Incompatible US product sold to UK customer
The seller sent a US version of the baby monitor to us with a US-to-UK adaptor plug thrown in the box. There is no mention on the listing anywhere that this will not be a UK product. They are selling to the UK market on amazon.co.uk. The item is an electronic baby monitor (used next to a helpless baby while they sleep) and the US and UK have different electricity supplies and voltages. Regular use of a US designed electrical product in UK plugs could have a negative or even dangerous effect on the product. We spoke to UK trading standards and have been informed this is not acceptable as a sale. We also called the manufacturer Leapfrog to ask whether we could use the US product with an adaptor and were told it would void the warranty on the product. The seller gave us a refund when we raised these concerns but we have been shocked by the seller (and Amazon's) lack of concern over these safety and legal issues.

Avoid at all costs
Item was a non UK product with a US style plug, one camera was not working and defeats the point of what was supposed to be a 2 camera system. Difficulty in arranging return
