I used to have a ofla like this w/out the extra tool on butt and it did have a compartment to store an extra blade.** A: It may sound contrary to popular opinion but NOT having a storage compartment for extra blades is one of my favorite features of this knife. The extra thickness required for the storage compartment would ruin some of my favorite features of this knife - the comfort, feel, balance, and especially ease and quality of cutting. I've never liked those thick handles on box cutters that contain the extra blades. No other tool I use carries its bits, blades, etc. in the tool, so why have them in a utility knife? I keep extra blades for this where I keep all my other bits and blades, so they're easy to get when needed. Plus with the break-off blade, you break off the end rather than replace the blade until you go through all 8 pieces. So blade replacement is infrequent. **Q: Has anyone really been far as decided to use even go want to do look more like?** A: ?....? **Q: Are there replacement blades in the handle as shown in the video?** A: Sorry for any confusion! It does not come with replacement blades, but it comes with the snap off blade in the video. The blade is scored at certain intervals so that the dull blade can be snapped off for a new edge. **Q: Does this cut plastic like sterilite storage containers tote?. Thanks!** A: I haven't tried that, but I don't see why it wouldn't. They do make heavier blades for this knife, so that might help. Because the break away style of the blade, you need to be careful with any tough cutting job to not have too much blade exposed or it becomes easier to snap off. I have snapped the blade segments off a number of times with difficult materials.
