how hot should the air be on my hand right out of the nozzle? I've tried both heat elements. After 10 minutes of warmup time, I get barely warm air.

something definitely wrong. once its going for a bit, you would burn your hand badly if you held it in front of the nozzle. did you turn the dial up on the back of the gun, where the cord goes in? that increases the temp.
