RDINSCOS Pin-Type Moisture Meter Wood Damp Detector, 3 Color Display Alert

It actually works! Mybfriend who is a builder was going to lend me one but me being impatient decided to buy one as the smell of damp wood was too much. It gave the readings and I checked it against a £150 one and it read the same. Bonus 😁

Faultless. Great that it has different calibration for 4 wood groups, paper and buildings. Seems to be very accurate. Well made and one of the cheaper ones to boot!So impressed with this unit that I bought another one for my son to use on his logs and damp cottage. Very good for finding damp spots in walls.

This is lightweight and easy to use, though I sometimes find it hard to push the pins far enough into the wood to be sure of an accurate reading. This could be more that the wood is very hard, or down to me just not pushing hard enough! The led readout is easy to read and I like the colour coding. I only use it for wood, so I can't comment on how well it works with paper or walls.

Does the job wonderfully…Well worth the money

It works well but there are different settings for different types of wood (for the log burner) and I don’t have a clue what each log is 🤷🏼‍♀️ 😆However it works & every log I’ve tested so far, on every setting, has been dry enough to burn.

Great product and price

Used for both firewood and checking caravan panels. Works well

Very easy to useI had a very bad leak undery floorboards from a hot water pipe so drying out was a must , used this item to check where my floor was drying out and any areas which wasn't , good for checking moisture on wood, brick plaster walls .

I had a leaking problem on my 2nd floor. So I purchased this small detector to help me figure out where is the leaking point. the outside package is nice. it is about the size of an iPhone. It comes with a bag, two AAA batteries, and a manual. The detector has a small LCD screen and four buttons ( on/off, wood, hold, and paper/wall). The design is easy and clean, even a 10 years old kid can learn how to use it within a minute. The LCD screen is very bright, you can read the screen easily under direct sunshine. The probe is relatively sharp, so you need to keep it away from an infant. When put in use, you just need to use the probe to contact the surface you want to read; sometimes it takes a couple of tries or/and different angles before you can read the number, but most time it should not be a big problem. I used it on my floor and ceiling, it gave me the correct reading and helped me find out the source of the leaking. Keep in mind it will not give you a very accurate reading, but only a range. this small thing is not designed for scientific research. For its price, I do not have anything to compalin.

I bought this moisture tester to check the walls for hidden moisture, and it worked great. It’s very simple to use—just turn it on and place it against the surface. The readings were quick and easy to understand.I was able to identify areas with higher moisture levels that weren’t visible to the eye, which helped me address the issue before it became a bigger problem like mold or damage. The device feels sturdy, lightweight, and easy to handle. The display is clear, and the measurements seem accurate and consistent when testing different areas.Overall, a very useful tool for homeowners or anyone doing maintenance or repairs. Great value and definitely worth having for peace of mind.
