Great and Easy to Mod Mix/keybox
Have used this for nearly a year now, The 4 keyboard keys are not hotswapable but, they are super easy to desolder. They come with cherry mx style outemu blue's which are not bad, but not suitable for the d-pad for fighting games. Replacing these with speed switches from cherry, or kailh is not a bad Idea and what I did. The buttons I left the blue's alone in as frankly cherry style blue from any brand are great for arcade style buttons, if you can't fit in real Happ\IL buttons, which your never gonna fit into this case. The PCB inside the thing is just great and even has markings for the pinouts on the PCB telling you what everything is, unlike far more expensive brands, so modding for newbies will be easy. Overall a very good kyebox/mixbox for the price, even if you don't mod it. This company has made this thing unknown because of how its labeled lol. Its not a fightstick its a keybox/mixbox, which is probably hurting its sales as these types of fighting games controls are niche inside this niche community.

No SOCD cleaning on v1.11
UPDATE (from 1 star rating): My original review is below for reference. I reached out to their support, turns out you can force their firmware updater to update the device to an old version by holding shift before clicking update. Oddly, v1.10 still didn't seem to have SOCD cleaning for me, but their email support provided v1.09, which worked. So now my device has SOCD cleaning, which is fantastic, and as I stated in my original review, it's a really nice budget mixbox for those that like the WASD/arrow key setup. There are only two drawbacks that may or may not affect you: First, it's fairly light in weight. That doesn't bother me, but keep it in mind. Second, it's not modular at all. You could replace parts of it with some dedicated tinkering, but I feel like it'd be easier/better just to go get something custom if you want to be able to swap out buttons easily and such. But for a budget controller, it's pretty much exactly what you think it will be from the seller's description. ========== ORIGINAL REVIEW: Just got this product and wanted to put up a quick review as a warning: It would seem that the newest version (1.11) DOES NOT have SOCD cleaning, so when you press left and right (or up and down) simultaneously it will give one or the other direction (whichever you pressed last). Ideally, you want a neutral input in these scenarios otherwise you get some sloppy input issues going from one direction to the opposite. Weirdly, if you go to their site and download their updater, it seems to be set at v1.10 (which based on other reviews DOES have SOCD cleaning), but it won't let you install that version if 1.11 is already installed (which it is by default on my device). I've reached out to support, so I may update this review (and rating) if they can offer a solution, but that's a pretty important feature to be missing for a hitbox/mixbox. Sadly, this seems like a really nice budget mixbox otherwise, so I hope they can offer a workaround. If not, I'll have to return it.

UPDATE the firmware if you want to play fighting games
What I like: 1) feels good (general build quality) for something this cheap relatively speaking, unfortunately its loud so yeah if you don't like the sound of loud typing then you may want to look at alternatives. 2) barely any input lag(cpu:R7 2700 gpu:RX 590) What I don't like: 1) close to no internal modding capability unless your willing to get you hands dirty so wouldn't recommend getting this to use as a cheap alternative for a shell.(well if your new to these kind of things) 2) if you want to replace the keycaps that doable but the switches are soldered so no easy replacement. 3) the Artwork looks good but so low resolution that audibly chuckled. i will be replacing with a simple thin vinyl one with custom artwork.(this is honestly a nitpick for the price people always end up customizing anyway lol). HOW TO UPDATE: not too sure about amazon policy on links so ill just say > e-pxn. com(main website) > support > tools > PXN-X8 firmware before pluging into a pc to update (i used windows10) make sure it just works in general is always good as with cheap things quality control takes a hit most of the times. (in my case it worked as an xbox 360 controller after it installed drivers) after that unplug, hold down the home icon while replugging, the mixbox goes into update mode then run the software.(I know the software looks shady as hell lmao) after the pop up comes up exit and just unplug and replug normally. I mainly bought this for guilty gear strive (PC) and wanted a cheap way to get into the mixbox/hitbox craze(previously been playing on a xbox series X/S controller). so far so good but the V1.09 has left priority input which is not all that great especially in a game where there is no block button. This is also just bad for tournament/causal play in general as it will lead to dropped inputs. But the new firmware update (adds SOCD cleaning) instead uses the Last priority input which is tournament legal by at least EVO (let no other tournament organizers bully you) but unless you want to be carrying a ps4 controller with you everywhere you go to play games I suggest investing in a brook wingman XE. Overall happy with my purchase. of note the only other games i have tested with Skullgirls and blazblue centrifiction idk about king of fighters as ive seen some complaints about this controller from the community but those video have not mentioned whether they have updated the firmware.

Arrow Keys Gave Out Quickly
I'm not fond of the layout but I won't dock points for that, the keys felt nice when they worked and the buttons were very satisfying but I found the arrow keys quickly giving out. They were wiggling free from their sockets and eventually I tried gluing them down to fix it to no avail. Still giving 3 stars because the quality of the rest of it was great and someone with light hands might be able to use it fine.

SHORYUKEN!!!
This is great, it minimizes input mistakes and makes you lear all the moves correctly. Itโs really responsive and has not given me any trouble. Durable, and just (after the learning curve) gives you the edge you need!!! Really loved it!!
