The remote stopped working a couple months into owning it, rendering the entire unit useless. The unit was only lightly used for 2.5 weeks.Edit: A representative contacted me regarding the issue with the unit. Suspecting it might be the battery in the remote, a new remote was sent out (received yesterday 05/16/17). It charged right up and the collar is back to working 100%. Great customer service. Works great! My dog quickly learned not to leave yard unless on a leash. We have an electric gate but didn't want him to run out when we opened it. Also worked for training other commands. We only used shock a couple times and then only sound. He doesn't seem to know the difference and actually if I have the controller in my hand he knows what not to do! If I have the controller in my hand he will not jump up on me and I don't even have to use the sound or anything!

I had to return the product as I realized I wasn't ready to train with it. It seemed like it would be easy to use, The downside seems to be the fact that you can't charge the transmitter and receiver at the same time.

It performs as advertised, but don't get caught in the rain as I did. We got soaked, and the transmitter no longer works. Not very happy about that. But I am ordering another one, so that tells you what I think about the product.

I tried several others but this one was the best considering cost, operation, construction, ruggedness and longevity. This was possible due to Amazon's liberal exchange policy. Why shop anywhere else?

I receive the product on Mar 27. After reading 100 reviews we decided to go with this dog collar. We made sure the collar was tight and secure around my Lab puppy. The collard seem to be okay, but came home today and my dog was able to get it off . Not happy and to top it off no phone number to contact company. I gave it to stars because the remote and charger is great and last a long time. Collar not so good!!!

Live in country and habe young hard head dog that thought he didn't have to listen at 30yrd away. One zap at 1/2 power and listening for a week now

Works awesome while it held a charge, had to return for defective but I really liked the control over different intensity
