Misleading item description, or outright lie?
I have purchased numerous mattresses from Amazon before and have not had any issues - until now. I purchased this King size mattress directly from Amazon and received it the next day. I also purchased a King size bed (from another retailer that rhymes with idea) with mattress protector and sheets. The box was surprisingly sturdy and was able to handle the 150lbs of the mattress without breaking a sweat. It took quite a bit of effort to get the rolled up mattress out of the box, which is a testament to how well packed the mattress was. My satisfaction with my purchase was going well as I slowly but surely unfurled the mattress. I removed the plastic from the mattress and it immediately sprung in to shape. After some pushing and pulling I was able to get the mattress on to the bed frame, which leads me to my low review and the point of this story. To my dismay, the mattress was 4 inches narrower than the bed frame. I rotated the mattress thinking that I had it going the wrong way, but that put the mattress two inches over the rail on each side. So, as it turns out, I had the mattress correct the first time. This made my purchase go from satisfaction to anger and feeling ripped off. I pulled out a tape measure and checked length, width, and height; and sure enough, it was missing 4 inches in width. Instead of the 80x76x11 size King mattress which both the Eco Terra website and the Amazon item page list this as, I received a mattress that measured EXACTLY 80x72x11. Four inches may not sound like much, but when a bed frame is designed for a specific width it makes getting in and out of bed painful - banging your legs on rails that are a couple inches away from the mattress every time you get up. Not to mention the sheet and protector looking/feeling baggy and loose on the sides, not being able to sit on the edge of the bed, etc. What is someone supposed to do with this? It is really unfortunate and puzzling why Eco Terra decided it was a good idea to narrow the mattress so that it will not fit in a standard King size frame. I thought it was fairly comfortable and would have kept it if not for this shady business practice. Thankfully Amazon was great and satisfied my return. Spending 4 figures on a mattress should not be this much of a risk.

sleeping well
Ok one month in and my husband and I really like it. From the first night we have slept great. I was concerned that the latex layer was to thin but we have not found it to be a problem. I ordered the king medium and it has a lot of bounce to it and we think it is soft but not plush. My husband is 230 pounds and he really sinks into the mattress although he claims he is still comfortable. As an average weight person I don't sink in very much. We are both mainly side sleepers and have had no problems with pressure point pain. The mattress has worked well on our adjustable base. I paid 650 for this and at this point I would buy it again in a heartbeat.

Seller did not honor return policy & mattress is hard
Seller did not honor the return policy as outlined. They gave me a return label for UPS and UPS will lot accept the package due to the size. Seller and Amazon did nothing to resolve the issue. The mattress feels like sleeping on cement and Iโm stuck with this mattress. If I could give them negative stars I would. They suck!

Review from a fat guy after laying on it for 5+ months.
We got this when it was on about a half price special, which is still a decent amount to pay for a mattress. Our last bed was a Stearns & Foster plush -firm so we weren't sure what to expect with this in 'medium' firmness. First, what I didn't like about the bed was that it was a few inches shorter, and less wide than our old S&F mattress that had fit our platform bed frame like a glove. The wife doesn't like that this one has space on the sides where you can see the wooden slats (maybe 1-1 1/2" on any given side). This has also left a bit of a void near our headboard. I'm not sure if this is a normal thing as far as the size goes, as we only have the S&F mattress to compare to. It was also about 3" less tall than the old S&F. I do feel that I hit the bed frame at night when I shift positions, but only briefly.. and I would kind of expect it since I'm over 400lbs. What I do like about it is that it really does kind of 'cradle' you when you lay in it. Our old S&F was definitely not like that. It was more like laying 'on top' of it with a little springy/foamyness. This Eco Terra is more like you lay 'in' the bed, but without a sinking feeling. It isn't hot, nor does it keep one from rolling from side to side easily with 'divots' (and I'm a big dude so I know me some divots in memory-foam type of beds). I saw concerns of 'edge crush' or rolling off the side with it being foam, etc. I've laid almost to the edge without sloping/falling off so no worries there. As for sitting on the side, I don't think this mattress or my last one liked me doing that, so I think that is just a 'me' thing. Prior to this I looked at a ton of reviews. Purple, Casper, and other ads were haunting me around the web for a month or so. The big downside with going for this one was there wasn't any of the '100 night' stuff.. it was your typical Amazon return window.. and I saw no way to legitimately roll this baby back up, stuff it in a box, and send it back if you wanted to. Luckily we didn't need to. A few things I would like to see in this mattress are another 1-2" added to the width/height of the 'King' sized mattress to fit similarly as the S&F had to a typical 'King' bedframe. I would also like either another 1-3" of foam and/or taller springs to make the bed a little taller. As it is now, its about the height of a typical mattress - 11" or so. UPDATE - nearly 2 years later. We switched to different bedroom furniture after moving recently and had to get a boxspring to use with this instead of our old platform bed. The space around the sides is not an issue with the new furniture and boxspring. It is still comfortable to lay on. Unfortunately my wife and I have developed a few back issues and apparently the orthopedic recommendation is to sleep on a firm mattress, which this 'medium' does not really qualify as. I'm not sure how much more firm the medium-firm is so I can't compare for folks looking for something firm. When the bed is made with the comforter on, you can see a bit of a divot on both sides of the bed where my wife and I lay on the bed. Our old bed didn't have this issue even after the 8 or 9 years we had it. Maybe it is just part for the course with a hybrid bed. Like I said, the bed is comfortable for folks who like something a bit softer/medium and do not require something firm for back/neck issues. We're probably going to need to swap out the mattress anyways to something firmer, which is not the mattresses fault, but I wasn't excited to see it leaving visible divots after only a few years with it being a $1100 mattress. Update 5 years in.. We still have this mattress, I actually like it and don't have any problems. It still kind of divots, but we haven't really rotated it, as I wasn't aware that was part of the recommendation so we'll try that and see if it helps anything. Also the divot hasn't gotten any worse than it was as if my last review that I've noticed. If you have a fluffy comforter it's not noticable as it would be with a thinner quilt type covering. I landed on buying this because it was natural latex vs synthetic, and it was about half off at the time. This along with the individual coils, which is a selling point on most above-average mattresses. Our old S&F mattress wore to be quite hard in the end, and after adapting to this mattress, I've enjoyed it. We are currently looking at upgrading to an adjustable base bed with independent side adjustments, so this will likely be the last update from me. I'm looking at Sven & Son's on that setup, after having been shocked by the adjustable bed price options at our local furniture stores.

Nice Hybrid Mattress !
Nice mattress because you get the best of both worlds, a mattress that has individual wrapped springs and natural latex on top so no off gasing from chemicals and does not get hot, they could be used with a power adjustable platforms as well. They do come in different firmness, we have 2 and even though they are both medium firm, one is firmer than the other. Maybe because they are not as mass produced as big companies...

Good mattress but maybe not at full price.
Update: mattress isn't holding up as well as I would like, soft and hard points. Ended up getting a mattress pad but that doesn't do much for me. My wife doesn't have this issue, so might be my size 6ft 250lbs Researching about buying a mattress is frustrating. Like one of the worst products I've ever researched to try to make an informed decision. I went with this mattress for 2 reasons: because of the latex (which is supposedly the most durable foam) and the pocket springs, which are a more supportive base. Generally this mattress is on the softer side of medium, but definitely not plush. I'm laying in bed now and feel more or less supported. I'm not sure how anyone can get too firm from this mattress, but I guess that's why we're all different. I do wish this had another inch of latex as I bottom out when literally hopping into bed (though I'm a big dude at 6 ft and 270 so probably not going to happen to everyone). But I bounce back immediately and it is comfortable. Some other review mentioned the edge is lacking support, but if you look into this mattress's construction, they show that it doesn't have edge support. So while I agree with the person who said that, I knew about it going in, so it didn't bother me. Though I don't feel like I'm falling, there's just some give. All in all I'm happy with my king, granted Amazon had a sale on these and I got it for much less than the 1300 it lists for now (650). At that price I'm happy with it, at 1300 I'll have to wait and see. I'll try to update in a periodically throughout the year. Sweet dreams.

Stay away from this mattress if you value sleep
After 10 months with this mattress I can honestly say this is by far and wide the absolute worst mattress I have ever owned. The springs have given out, the mattress sinks, there are random spots where you can feel what seem like hollow spots, my back and legs hurt every morning from this mattress. I am surprised too because we have this exact same mattress for our son and his is great. My wife and I are quite tall both over 6 feet and fit so there is not a issue of uneven weight distribution. It seems this particular mattress is just poorly constructed.

Read the reviews to help select the firmness you want.
We bought the medium firmness king size and it is very comfortable. Never thought we'd buy a mattress in a box, but we'd do it again. Firmer around the edges so we don't roll off.
