Great product. Highly recommend.
Definitely does the job it's supposed to. Very light weight and powerful. Cools the laptop well and I love the sealing around it to prevent air escape. It also helps quiet it down. It can be noisy at higher speeds, but likely not necessary to go that high. It has good air flow. I like the extra USB ports as well. My 17.3" laptop fits nicely on it. Overall a great product.

As described, tested with excellent results, but noisy at max cooling capacity
Ran Second Life Firestorm viewer at maximum graphics resolution with 20fps, draw distance to 1024, and maximum complexity 300K and in parallel ran Google Chrome browser with a youtube video playing. This pushed the NVIDIA GForce GTX1050 to 100% and Intel i7 to 25% with internal fan cooling only. The GPU temp hit +72C, turn on this cooling fan at low settings for minimum noise and GPU temperature dropped to +68C. Turn fan to maximum and the GPU temperature drops from +72C to +54C. Big difference and no thermal throttling! The cooling pad can be very noisy with the fan running at full capacity, but with headphones on, no system lag, no thermal throttling (usually clocks turned down), the noise is tolerable. Noise canceling headphones are best. If you do not want to used head phones, then be aware that this unit can be very very noisy at max fan speed. Next, the USB expander on the right side is perfect (one to three ports). I can expand one of my USB-C ports to three USB 2.0 ports. This is available on the IETS GT500V1. I used the expander for headphones, camera, and wired mouse. This product is from China (we'll see if it lasts, but Chinese companies can produce and export good products ... if they want to, so far this product appears to be of very good quality and solidly built).

This cooling pad is the best I've ever found
This cooling pad is the best I've ever found. I have my laptop on most of the day, sometimes 12-hour days. I needed a good cooling pad and found this one. I keep it running 10 - 12 hours a day, 7 days a week, and it doesn't miss a beat. I love that the fan speed is easily adjusted to meet my demands. To adjust the fan speed, you simply turn a dial. It is fairly quiet, depending on how high you have the fan speed. I've had this cooling pad for several weeks now, and it performs perfectly. If you need a reliable cooling pad, then this is the one. It's worth the cost and will definitely protect your laptop from overheating. Oh, and there is a filter built in to protect your laptop from dust. Highly recommended!

Legs pop out somewhat easily with side force
Pretty good (I’m using the GT500v1 according to the sticker on the bottom of the fan unit), my only complaint is that the legs pop out relatively easily with side force (pushing on the leg from the side, like if you brush up against something while you’re picking up the unit and moving it towards yourself). I used screws with springs to keep them in place as opposed to the tabs that fit into the notches (the smaller legs broke at some point). I don’t use the hub (the usb-c to usb-c cable that attaches the unit to your computer to give you 3 more usb-a ports on the unit). The fan rotates fast and gets rid of heat quickly. I’m using it with a little powerhouse Lenovo LOQ 15irh8 (13th gen intel i7-13700H, 32gb ram, Nvidia GeForce rtx 4060 8gb vram) which gets hot quickly and doesn’t have intense enough fans to get rid of the heat generated easily. I didn’t realize the little metal tabs in the front were to hold the laptop to the fan unit until a long time into using it (those are definitely helpful. The foam helps seat the laptop well, not allowing air to escape. It’s somewhat loud when you turn the fan all the way to its maximum speed.

No problems 3 years later
It's GREAT! Been using this since July 2023. Had it on full blast ever since Dust is barely an issue. The dust that makes it past the filter over a long period of time is VERY finely grained and easy to wipe/blow off. The filter itself gets very dirty though IDK if I can or should take it apart to clean the blades. IDK if it's designed for it The foam on top is weathered. It's covered in dust and definitely worn. The laptop made a permanent imprint As for my laptop; this cooling pad definitely keeps it cool. It's as cool as it's gonna get. There are no issues regarding leaks. My 16" laptop sits on it with plenty of space to spare. This pad could definitely handle a giant laptop. It also depends on where your intake vent is location. Mine is just in the spot where I can use both the foam layers for a tighter vacccum/funnel The USB hub sucks The elevation is great! The angles you can get are really good After years of use, the fans don't grind, they haven't slowed down, they haven't failed. I have this thing on maximum RPM 24/7. Very durable For a chinese product, this is very impressive. I would highly recommend this, or probably any later variant

Game changer
The only complaint is that at full 5000 RPM the noise is very audible, but I guess this tradeoff cannot be avoided. All server rooms with advanced cooling are noisy. If you lower fan speed in half or more, when laptop is lightly used or idle the fan is sufficiently quiet. The product has very smart design, where the entire bottom of your laptop besides perimeter, which is sitting on a foam square, is hanging in the air, above air container of this cooling pad. the huge fan inside that air container is pushing cold air through the bottom of the laptop and there are escape paths for the hot air. Comparing to my previous cooling pad, which was flat with 5 fans blowing into the bottom of the laptop, but no air box underneath the laptop, this pad keeps my CPU package 20-25C cooler during intense tasks like AI video encoding or gaming. This will help avoid thermal throttling of your CPU and GPU chipsets during any task.

Cools it down
It works very well. It drops my gaming laptops CPU and GPU temps from around 60-65 C° to around 49° for the GPU and around 50° for the CPU. It’s is quite loud especially at max fan speed but the fact that you can adjust the speed makes up for it.

Yet another excellent IETS product
IETS has done it again with another innovative laptop cooler. I previously owned the GT300 for over 2 years and the GT500 is quite the upgrade! The sealing foam provides a much better seal than the rubber sealing ring of the GT300. Paired with a large fan capable of moving a lot of air, the GT500 is by far the most effective laptop cooler on the market. Get the most out of your gaming laptop with the GT500! Games where my CPU would average 85°C and peak at 95°C with the GT300 at full blast now sit at an average of 75°C and peak at 85°C. The GPU sits around 60°C instead of 70°C. With some undervolting and the GT500, say goodbye to thermal throttling! The USB hub with data capabilites trumps the USB hub of the GT300 which only supplies power. The dedicated power supply is an improvement in my opinion. I had to find the right USB wall adapter for the GT300 to have full fan power so I'm not running power off the laptop. The noise level is much more tolerable than the GT300. The whirring of the GT300 is much more noticeable than the sound of rushing air of the GT500 with headphones on. At lower speeds, the GT500 does produce some whirring but not nearly as loud as the GT300. The IETS GT500 is a very effective cooling solution for your gaming laptop and a big upgrade from the GT300. It is worth the price and exceeded my expectations. The GT500 also comes in several models to meet your needs and style!

Excellent cooling solution
Excellent system, easy to use, and I love the dial to set the RPM of the fan. It cools my gaming laptop down from 47C to 38C on a low setting, and under load from 57C down to 45C on a high setting. Laptop is now cool to the touch, most of the time.

Fantastic piece of kit.
Brilliant product. The fan is very loud but that is the price for performance. The cooler has a removable dust filter that is easy to clean. Only buy this if you have large intake vents on the bottom of your laptop, if you do this cooler is unmatched in it's performance. I highly recommend this cooler for anyone that wants maximum temperature drops, just make sure you have a bottom intake or it will not be effective.

Product works but loud - Read full review.
Product works for sure, this is something best you can buy for overheating processor's like i9 but fan is crazy loud, I reduce the fan speed at a bearable noise levels I wear glasses so I cant wear hefty headphones for gaming, I game on speaker. If you use the fan at 100% cooling is best but noise is something irritates me a lot I cant bear it. If I reduce the speed then I loose some power on cooling but noise is OK to hear. reduces a lot of temps no thermal throttle.

I love it.
This intense. The temperature of the gpu cpu and system temp laptop really drops when it's running, just make sure your air conditioner is on, you'll see how effective it is. the only thing downside here is the noise of the cooler. it's really noisy. but this is the best one available in the market that is really effective so buy it without thinking twice.
