It is definitely NOT fake! It is the best saffron I have ever purchased. And I have purchased many brands. This is wonderful.

I sthis good in poultry soups? Does it reduce blandness?

Yes it is. And it reduces the blandness. Also, I have tried a few brands, Mehr premium red stands out. The price is higher comparatively, but is worth. We are regular consumer of this brand. Best saffron I have ever tried.

Whats the difference between this brand and "de reyes selected spanish saffron"?

I haven't tried de reyes selected Spanish saffron...this brand is the first I've tried and I don't regret is very good quality.
