Very useful
A great supplement to my on line Spanish learning, explained quite a few points that weren’t clear. Both books have been a great help.

Definitely not for beginners. May be helpful for intermediate.
Definitely not for beginners and needs to be proof read by a first language English speaker as there are incorrect direct translations. E.g. "make a question" is used in a translation which should be "ask a question". It's true that in Spanish, questions are "made" and not "asked" but that needs to be explained instead of being incorrectly translated. The English words are very advanced and not used in everyday conversation. E.g. "asphyxiated" instead of "murdered".

Okay - Not a great book for beginners
I haven't found the book helpful on its own, but I have been able to use it with a Spanish speaker, which is the only way I've found it helpful.I would not recommend it for new learner
