Maxxis Minion DHR II | Dual Compound | Mountain Bike Tire

Great seller, awesome tire! Went from a Maxxis aggressor to a minion. The aggressor is crap! The minion DHR literally grips the dirt like you’re on rails. You can really lean and have more confidence with this tire. Tire was in perfect condition, no rips, no tears, no deformations, no weird lumps or unevenness. I run tubeless, tire mounted evenly and rolls straight. Why did I wait so long to switch to the minions?! Don’t make the same mistake I did, get rid of that terrible aggressor, you will thank me for it!

So I decided to switch to Minions front and rear after extensive research and boy do I wish I had done so a long time ago. I am running tubeless and was before the switch so I can safely say that the added confidence and climbing I am getting is all down to the tires. These things have turned my bike into a mountain goat! I climb with confidence I never had previously and with far less effort. In the turns they give great grip and tbh, even on hard surfaces the rolling resistance, although higher, is noting to complain about.

This tire has excellent traction and takes a lot of abuse. It said 2.3 width, but is more like 2.1. It pairs well with the Maxxis Forekaster 2.6 (which is more like a 2.3). Awesome tire, but I wish the widths were accurate. I run this tubeless and cannot believe I have not flatted. It's amazing the abuse this will take on rutted jagged frozen ground and rocks. Best feature is amazing traction. It's very good for varied terrain wet and dry, rock, mud, harpack. Not the fastest on hardpack but the enhanced traction in other conditions is worth it.

Grips well in the slop and still has control on dusty hard pack.

I've been running a set of these on my hardtail for a season and they've been a decent all around tire for me. I run a mixed set of tires from two different brands on my full suspension and I'd say that set up has more grip (hand rolling resistance) but I wouldn't hesitate to buy these again for the hard tail if the price was right.

The old adage, you get what you pay for. In the desert rock gardens and cactuses where a flat can happen on any ride, these are my go to tires. They have great traction and are super durable when ran tubeless with a sealant.

I replaced a continental tire with this tire. It grips and flexes much better. I run it with a tubeless set up. I will be using this tire on my other bikes.

Good grip. Great value compared to most other sites. £28 per tyre is around half price. Fit was a little tight, but most higher end tyres are.

Fitted these to both the front and rear, seem great tyres. Low road noise and excellent grip. Have to be care mounting the tyres to make sure the bead sits correctly on the tyre. After using soapy water the tyres popped correctly on to the rim.

Es un neumático excelente para descenso tanto si el suelo está más compacto o más suelto. Recomiendo antes, instalar primero estos neumáticos que cambiarte el sistema de frenos. La única pega es que se le enganchan Piedrecitas constantemente en la rueda y a veces de las dispara contra el cuadro.

Fantastique, je recommande, commandé en 27.5 x 2.3, tres agréable a rouler, j'ai l'impression d'avoir plus de contrôle et de faire moin d'effort pour avancer

Aderenza e trazione da paura e grande robustezza sui terreni difficili rendono questo pneumatico un'ottima scelta per chi ama l'MTB "avventurosa" ... Ideale infatti per il Free Ride e ancora meglio l'All Mountain per le sue doti sia in salita CHE IN DISCESA !!! Data la non eccezionale scorrevolezza lo sconsiglierei per il Cross Country più corsaiolo ... Infatti fa perdere qualcosa in termini di velocità in salita ...
